Mr. Lovett, will you stand-up please News Posted by Jonathan Capps on 23rd August 2005, 21:07 New DJ information from the TOS board, from the lip of James Bull: Well fellow humans, DJ is just a blink of than eye away, and yet more goodness needs to be told, after a phone call from Norman today, he will be doing a new stand-up routine just for us together with his daughters, who Kitty, has written a special song, and will sing it for us all at DJ, so if you find this tempting? Still time to grab that suitcase tell the wife/girlfriend/lover/bloke (delete as appropriate ) that you’ll be going to the shops and rush down to Peterborough for the time of your life! Of course, Norm and his offspring have performed on stage before for an Edinburgh Fringe show called We, Lovett (if I recall correctly). If the set is even half as funny as his old plastic bag routine, then we’ll be set for a good show. However, the more pressing news is that DJ IS ONLY 3 DAYS AWAY, and I must say I’m getting a little shaky with the excitement – it is, without doubt, the best time a Red Dwarf fan can have in a weekend. If you’re coming along then do keep an eye out for a large group of cynical looking geeks with various forms of physical disfigurement and come over and have a chat. We’ll try not to talk about the winning fan film entry *too* much.

Someone from BTLi turned up in Bedford today, and wondered why there was no reference to the convention anywhere…
Isn’t it great how James Bull delivers his exclusives straight to Andrew Ellard’s web board while constantly neglecting that of The Official Fan Club Of Which He Is Chairman?

Not going I’m afraid but I might go into Edinburgh to watch a showing of Mirrormask on Saturday. Alternatively I may go to Edinburgh Zoo. Alternatively, I may sit on my arse.
>>he will be doing a new stand-up routine just for us together with his daughters, who Kitty, has written a special song I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, then.
Perhaps it was the breathless bits that were of her writing? “Oh no, not I-haa-puff” “I will sur-puff-pant”
