Basically, I’ve got the script, they haven’t.

  • There are a couple of mistakes in it. What would be really useful is if someone could go through the subtitles and see where they made mistakes, and what they should have said.

  • Erm, yes. My point being that I’d forgotten about the subtitles until this post, but had been weirdly excited about seeing something I’d co-written being subtitled by someone else, so wanted to go and watch it.

Incidentally, I do like “Righto, Mary” in the “RD : The Other Movie” clip ;-)

What about the scene in series 6? Does anyone know if Rimmer is subtitled as saying “speak” or “s-speak?”

The fact that you’re upset they didn’t properly subtitle a stutter makes you remarkably anal and reminds me of why we get along so well.

  • The Original Episode has “Speak, Kryten”

I’m not upset about it at all, just fancied being pedantic :) It amazes me there are so many errors, but it’s more likely to be down to my crappy sound than their crappy stenographers.

But I suspect that their stutter wasn’t scripted, and ours was :)
