I didn’t think there would be commentaries on what is now known as Red Dwarf: The Bodysnatcher Collection. I thought there wouldn’t be the money – and seeing as the Remastering is covered in a separate documentary, and the possible difficulties in covering the original programme whilst watching the Remastered version, I thought they might just not bother.

Boy was I wrong.

First things first, then – we get a commentary on The End Remastered – the episode with far the most changes made to it, and one which almost works as a statement of what the Remastered project was about, so an ideal candidate. And the participants? Ed Bye. Mark Wyborn. Jem Whippey. Chris Veale. Speaking specifically about the Remastering process. Oh bloody hell. As someone desperately interested in the Remstered series, I was hugely looking forward to the Remastered docco – to have a commentary as well is beyond my wildest dreams. If this was the only announcement made today, I’d be wittering on about how wonderful this was alone.

But:

Doug Naylor and Ed Bye. In a commentary booth. Bliss.

Five episodes. Me2. Kryten. Better Than Life. Polymorph. Bodyswap. AND DOUG NAYLOR AND ED BYE. And doesn’t that picture make you so happy?

I draw your attention to something Ian said right back in 2002 in his Series 1 DVD review:

This [cast] commentary is a joyous and whimsical affair, but it highlights the only major problem with this release – the lack of a Writers/Director commentary. I’ve been banging on about this for months, but it would have been utterly perfect if we’d had an informative and detailed piece recorded to counter-balance the humour in the cast commentary.

Who would have thought that GNP would get a chance to rectify this? By Series III, I’d pretty much got used to the fact that the cast commentary – often entertaining in itself, but not really what I would have wanted as the only people involved in the commentary – was all we were going to get. Fun enough, but aimed at people other than me. I never thought in a million years we’d get something like this now. It’s what I’d secretly dreamed of this release… but never dared hope we would actually get.

I’m reminded of the VIII scriptbook – Doug gives a wonderful introduction to the series and each episode, and it’s hilarious. Utterly, utterly wonderful. And as for Ed Bye – there isn’t a funnier contributor to the documentaries, in my opinion. He’s fucking hilarious. To hear these two together… well, come on, just read that Ruby Wax anecdote.

Even the spread across the series is perfect – two eps from each series, including the Remastered commentary. I like the episodes chosen – although let’s face it, any choice would have been amazing – and I’m especially pleased to see Me2 represented. Although we’re promised that the Bye/Naylor commentaries cover the original production – which is frankly how it should be, as the Remastered will be covered elsewhere – it does seem we get the odd glimpse of opinion about some of the Remastered changes, with Doug giving his thoughts on the new Polymorph ending.

So… is it time to do my “What do you think will be the best extra?” poll yet? Or – considering it’s only May, and the release is in October – could there possibly be more to come? And just how will I dry out my piss-and-cum-stained pants before my girlie gets home?

  • Love the Ruby Wax story. Love that it’s Ed and Doug – Ed always seems to me to be one of the most entertaining when talking about Dwarf, and their relationship is such that I can imagine this sounding brilliant.

Oh, I want this boxset RIGHT NOW.

  • That means there’s loads more to go on it!!!!

    THIS IS TOO MUCH!!!

  • Isn’t Ed just brilliant?! Is he good enough for DJ though? Well just maybe he will be. It’s another wait and see job, but I have high hopes he can make it.

  • > Isn?t Ed just brilliant?! Is he good enough for DJ though? Well just maybe he will be. It?s another wait and see job, but I have high hopes he can make it.

Quick, to the salt mines! And bring shovels!

  • I fucking hate commentaries. Also, Ed Bye is a prat.

Sorry, I just needed to say the opposite of what’s said already. ;)

    Sounds good.

  • I wanted Rob Grant with Doug Naylor on a commentary, ALL OTHER EVENTS ARE UNACCEPTABLE.

  • First off these commentaries sound absolutely brilliant, as does this entire project. I have been silently watching, week after amazing week as each new revelation continues to make this one of the ‘must own’ sets of 2007 (along with the four disc set of Blade Runner for me).

Yet this footage begs some very, very interesting questions: is this a special, as yet unmentioned commentary or a new extra like a script extract? How about the mov–, nah, I can;t even bring myself to say it. I’m already too excited about this release. Still, it is curious…

  • That is the least convincing covert shooting I’ve ever seen in my life.

But yes, interesting. Although I can’t help but feel we’re being played by someone…

    !!!

I admit that before watching it I assumed it’d be some very suspicious footage that only included feet and pantlegs or something else that would make it seem like it COULD be the Dwarf cast in action but not necessarily…

But yep, it’s them alright. I do share in John’s uncertainty, but the question then becomes: who is playing us? It IS the cast. It IS Ed Bye. What prankster would have that crew at their disposal for the sake of shaking up some internet talk?

  • What prankster would have that crew at their disposal for the sake of shaking up some internet talk?

    Indeed. An extremely good point.

  • Weird effect on the picture :/ but it does raise questions.

They were overall quite nice to the crazy fan

  • >Weird effect on the picture

If this footage is real, which it certainly seems to be, then it’s probably coming from a tiny necktie-mounted recording device. It seems to be lower than eye-level, especially when he obscures it with what he’s carrying.

I just recently watched a documentary about the film ratings board and one of the investigators uses a tie-mounted camera. I’m sure there are other little spycams that could be purchased, but this one seems centered on his person and at the right height for a necktie.

Which explains why the quality isn’t so hot…it’s just a tiny little device…even the footage they ended up using in the documentary wasn’t so great.

  • Completely beyond my ken, which makes it officially Beyond the Comprehension of Any Human =P . They were all studying some papers, but what was on those papers, and to what end were they discussing them? And maybe I just wasn’t watching closely enough, but where’s Chloe Annett? Unable to attend? Did this have anything to do with her at all? Or Norm, for that matter. Where was he when this went down, whatever it is?

Screw it, I’m just going to take a wild guess and say they were trying to summon Cthulhu, or some other Elder God. That explanation makes as much sense as any other at this point…

…How’s Andrew gonna react to this footage, you reckon? Provided he reacts at all.

  • What’s odd about the whole thing is that I don’t think they’d react like that to the fan. Also, he recognised Robert first, which just seems odd to me.

    Aaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnndddddddddddddddrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww!

  • >Which explains why the quality isn?t so hot?it?s just a tiny little device?even the footage they ended up using in the documentary wasn?t so great.

An absurd interpretation. This was obviously done with a digital camera as a laugh by the team, and treated either in camera or post-recording to look like that. There’s nothing “covert” about this.

  • >They were all studying some papers, but what was on those papers, and to what end were they discussing them?

They were all together for something like the documentary, and since they were all available they decided to have a laugh and record a pretend covert thing to stir up interest as to what it might be.

  • > They were all together for something like the documentary, and since they were all available they decided to have a laugh and record a pretend covert thing to stir up interest as to what it might be.

Ooh you cynical bastard : )

You might be right – it could be an easter egg or something for the DVD.

But my inner geek won’t let me believe it…

  • Agreed that this definitely *isn’t* secret filming, it’s been treated to look that way in post-. And the way the cast react to the bloke is definitely acted too. But it’s undeniable that the cast were in a room with Ed Bye, with a big pile of papers in front of them. Something’s going on, and someone wants us to know about it.

  • >An absurd interpretation

What’s absurd about it? The part you quoted was referring to a documentary I’ve seen. Are you telling me it’s absurd that I interpreted the film stock in the documentary to be poor?

Regarding the Dwarf stuff I was very careful to begin by saying “if” and “probably.”

  • Probably looking at doco notes, or perhaps an extra we don’t yet know about? Whatever, someone’s having a laugh with that camera.

The funniest thing (sorry, I’m in a funny mood) would have been if they were all naked and the ‘fan’ says exactly the same stuff and walks out without mentioning the obvious.

  • I agree with Cappsy that they recognise Robert first which makes me wonder
if the film was his idea. Given his youtube broadcast from DJ he likes the
    technology a lot.

Robert can be heard to be reading a script in a swedish comedy voice…

“My name is —— and I’m your translator while you reside with us Commander,
and it is my task too……..”

So if this isnt something to do with script extracts, then maybe it’s
    a Robert Project.

  • i’m liking the idea that someone has “leaked” this “covert” footage onto youtube. I’m really not sure what to think of it, unless it was all staged and someone high up had decided to pull our many various legs…

  • Why would you ware a bug camera if you didn’t already know the people inside? But he didn’t know until he was inside, and then ohh you’re the robot! look at the clothes, look what they have on, in the commentary pictures on the main site?? This wasn’t just filmed. Listen to what Chris said. The papers are just script pointers to the series they are doing a chat over. Room 107? Who’s really behind the camera?

  • I was amused by the first related video that popped up when I rewatched it just now…

  • >Why would you ware a bug camera if you didn?t already know the people inside?

Well, he was acting. He wouldn’t go into the room and say, “Hey, I knew you were all in here so I figured I’d film a quick covert video of you and post it on the internet!”

Instead…indulge me here…I present the possible situation. A fan works at a hotel. He sees the name “E. Bye” or some such thing on the guest list, booked for an extended period of time, so all he has to do is pick up a little hidden camera and wear it on his tie…and make sure he’s the one who gets sent up to the room.

Or maybe he was sent up for room service a previous time, saw the cast there, and went out and bought the camera for next time. The whole, “Hey, you guys were in Red Dwarf, right? You were the robot?” It’s just a plea for time. “Here’s your tea and goodbye” would result in about 3 seconds of video. He was trying for more. And probably hoping someone would engage him, or at least respond with more than they did.

I hasten to point out I’m still skeptical of this…but I also don’t think we have sufficient cause at all to dismiss it outright.

I’m familiar with the concept of viral marketing, but reddwarf.co.uk does plenty to promote its own products as it stands. Every released detail of a DVD sends a tremor through the internet. Why would they need to do this?

And WHAT are they marketing? It’s not like someone in the video said, “Man, look at all these extras for the Bodysnatcher set! What a great buy this will be! Hey kid, get out here!”

Viral marketing only works if it’s clear enough what is being marketed. Whereas this…well…you really couldn’t get less clear.

  • The vid says from a friend, not the actual person who posted it. This wasn’t a hotel room. And Ed says “I’ll get something sent upstairs” They were in a basement with windows? Kitchen upstairs? All questions and probably someone messing about. Also you post something like this on the net and not even login for a week to check it? I didn’t recognise the voice, if it was meant to be someone from GNP. I also don’t like they way it was filmed if it was a spoof. Everyone of the cast look directly at the camera, I’m not sure I would do this if someone was bringing coffee in the room, if they were intently busy as Craig said. If Doug had been there this would have been something, but to have Ed there at that time it only points to commentary recording.

  • > but to have Ed there at that time it only points to commentary recording.

But it’s supposed to be an Ed and Doug commentary, not cast and Ed. Would I be against a cast and Ed recording? I’d have to firmly say yes. Only kidding, I mean no (got you, you bastards), I’d fucking love it. Not only would we get more Ed views but Robert’s views on the two series’ he wasn’t in. Brilliant, even if it was for only one episode.

Fuck it, let’s say it’s a new series. Show me the cunny.

  • Extraordinary, I dont know what to think on this one..

‘Boys from the Dwarf’ is a title used by Rob L on a number of occasions and there’s a short one on Llew.co that he recorded at the Ser VI commentary recording…
Reading from a piece of paper in an odd voice doesn’t fit in with a Dwarf commentary somehow though does it..
Of Course, Mr Ellard has had fun recently with ‘Geek Chase’ using the net as a tool, maybe this is part of the overall build up to the DVD..
I’ve always felt that Andrew wasn’t always happy with some of the stuff people have posted on You Tube, yet only recently, he’s mentioned it on the board a few times and even pointed to one particular clip.

I reckon this could well be an official plant, on the other hand I’m usually wrong.

  • >The vid says from a friend, not the actual person who posted it.

I don’t see how that affects anything I’ve suggested. What difference does it make who posted it up? All that matters is the recording itself.

    >Everyone of the cast look directly at the camera,

Which is exactly what happens when you wear a camera on your necktie, yes, or in a ballcap or something…you get a lot of direct facial shots. Part of why they’re used.

    >to have Ed there at that time it only points to commentary recording.

As Monkey rightly pointed out, commentaries aren’t an Ed/cast game. The fact that Ed and the cast were in the same place seems to weigh in AGAINST it being a commentary, what with there being no Ed/cast commentary anywhere in the past or forseeable future.

Plus they were reading over some kind of script, or notes for a script…didn’t sound like anything they might discuss in a commentary to me.

    >I reckon this could well be an official plant

Sure could be. I’m mainly playing devil’s advocate with what I say above because it’s not helpful at all to disregard it and say, “Oh, someone’s pulling our legs.” Because that only raises larger questions. Who? And why would they have access to Ed and the cast for the sake of a prank? Is it official? If so, what the hell is it FOR?

I for one can’t wait to see what this turns out to be.

  • Another point is the fact that they are seemingly rehearsing ‘something’…
As far as I’m aware, apart from notes, the commentaries are recorded on the day unless this was just a run-through on the morning, but this still doesn’t explain the voice nor the non-Dwarf dialogue.
Andrew has also stated, when asked why the ‘whole’ cast were not involved in the ‘lost’ episodes and just Chris was used for the voices, that it was all a matter of the huge costs involved.
Getting the boys together and Ed Bye, points, in my view to something very big..

  • This is obviously ‘fake’ in that it’s not filmed by suprised Hotel staff. (What they just happened to have a tiny camera on them? They recognise Robert first?!)

So this is almost certainly GNP in origin.

I’m agreeing with Steve here in that this is big. The main 4 together with Ed Bye?

This is something to be excited about! Part of me doubts it’s the movie though – after all these years surely they’d want the greenlight to be announced in a blaze of glory – not by hinting with a ‘viral’ type video.

  • >What they just happened to have a tiny camera on them?

Well, if you see that a member of the Dwarf crew is staying in your hotel and you’re excited enough that you go out and buy a miniature camera to record the moment, then yes, I guess it can be said that you “just happened” to have a tiny camera on you. Though it’d be much more effectively phrased as you intentionally had a camera on you.

    >Part of me doubts it?s the movie though

I don’t think that’s what Steve was hinting at. He’s suggesting we might end up with a fuller cast on features like Bodysnatcher and the other unused snippets.

Which would be amazing and a hell of a great surprise. And it doesn’t seem unlikely owing to the content of the video.

  • This could be the beginnings of another Red Dwarf AR game, like Geek Chase. Remember what Valve did before the release of Half Life 2? they let someone film whilst they were on a tour of their offices, which contained messages written on a whiteboard, which eventually led to the discovery of a hidden page within the official half-life 2 site. A similar thing is happening with Portal, head over here… http://www.aperturescience.com/

  • New poll, John?

I would do, but I’m very much hoping Andrew will turn up tomorrow and clear all this up!

My personal guess: it’s a set up video (not covert) – the fisheye lens effect looks added on, and I don’t think the acting is very convincing! – although as you say, whether it is’s genuinely covert or not is actually immaterial. The fact remains, it’s Ed and the cast doing stuff. I think it’s either come from GNP, or Robert – but it seems out-of-character for GNP to do something like this.

As for what they’re doing – I have no idea. I don’t think it’s commentary recordings – the cast have already done commentaries for each episode with the original releases. But I also don’t think it’s Movie. I have no fucking idea at all, and anything I said would be a pure uninformed guess.

The other thing I would say, of course, is that there’s no proof when this was recorded apart from the caption – which means nothing…

All a lot of fun though, anyway. I think I was rather uncharitable before – I’m quite enjoying the mystery!

  • You say we don’t know when this was recorded. This is true. But it is almost certainly 2006/7.

  • >I?m very much hoping Andrew will turn up tomorrow and clear all this up!

Why tomorrow, out of curiosity? Is he away? (To be perfectly honest, I assumed his silence up to this point was intentional.)

    >I don?t think the acting is very convincing!

You guys would know better than me–since you’ve actually met the cast–how they’d be likely to react to fans. But I was full willing to believe their coldness toward him in this video. After all, it IS private, and he WAS only supposed to be bringing them a beverage…

But again, I defer to those of you who actually know these people. I’ve never met them.

    >it seems out-of-character for GNP to do something like this.

Unquestionably so! We’ve been teased by them before, and been given glimpses of things…but GNP likes to celebrate this stuff…not slap false names on it and hide it in a stuffy corner of the internet hoping someone will see it eventually.

    >I?m quite enjoying the mystery!

I am, too. However this pans out, I genuinely can’t wait to find out what was going on there. Because no matter WHAT it was, it’s potentially damned interesting.

  • (To be perfectly honest, I assumed his silence up to this point was intentional.)

    You’re probably right.

You guys would know better than me?since you?ve actually met the cast?how they?d be likely to react to fans. But I was full willing to believe their coldness toward him in this video. After all, it IS private, and he WAS only supposed to be bringing them a beverage…

But again, I defer to those of you who actually know these people. I?ve never met them.

It’s not exactly how they reacted – it’s the staging. It all feels very, *very* staged to me – especially the way the camera moves, and the interaction between the cast. (They way they’re reading the script at the start, for instance, feels so *obvious* to me, as a way of getting tongues wagging.) And the way they deliver their lines didn’t feel like naturalistic speech. It didn’t ring true as a covert recording at all, to me, from the very first time I watched it…

  • > It all feels very, *very* staged to me – especially the way the camera moves, and the interaction between the cast. Exactly. It reminds me of the chocolate easter egg easter egg, where they all seemed to be “in the middle of doing something” when the camera came in.

    > whether it is?s genuinely covert or not is actually immaterial. The fact remains, it?s Ed and the cast doing stuff. I think it?s either come from GNP, or Robert – but it seems out-of-character for GNP to do something like this.

That’s right. There’s no real value in us trying to figure out *what* they’re doing – the content of this doesn’t matter, and anyway is deliberately misleading. What could be on those pieces of paper? – questions like this are what the video is supposed to get us asking, when actually they’re probably just old faxes from the recycle bin, and the actual interesting thing is that Ed Bye and the cast are in a room together. If we’re going to speculate on the reasons for that, we should do so without getting sidetracked by the content of the video, as it were.

  • But not all the cast, tho’, not as far as I recall seeing. This may just be my memory being fickle, however.

  • Spose I should post something releted to the topic for a change…

The fish eye effect looks very much like the one in Final Cut Pro, as Rob is a die hard Mac and YouTube user this would seem to be one of his little gags.

Also when you consider this post on Rob’s forum:

okay, I have nothin to prove this, but i know a guy who works at a hotel in west london, and he told me he saw the whole Red Darf cast were ther and they had a room booked and ed bye who directed red dwarf was there2 my mate says they were getting ready to make a movie. i don’t know if this is tru by sounds interesting wonder if robert can confirm this…….??????

Just before the video went up by a new member who has not posted since.

This wreaks of Bobby Llew to me.

  • >That?s right. There?s no real value in us trying to figure out *what* they?re doing

I, uh, don’t think that’s what John was saying. How does “out of character for GNP” translate into “no value in figuring it out?”

    >this post on Rob?s forum

Now that is interesting. Hmmm! Good eye.

  • **hand hits forehead**

Why is it that I’m always the one who realizes these things last? Honestly, and I like to think of myself as smart, too…

Excuse me while I go be grumpy about this =P …

  • Robert says ‘well we used to do that’ meaning Dwarf. Maybe this is a new non-Dwarf project. Or maybe they privately role-play every now and again…

  • We were told a follow up to It2i2 may happen one day but this would take the ‘old pals act’ production of It2i2 to new levels and this kind of paid labour would cost a fortune..

It doesn’t look like a prelude to a commentary session..

It does look like a script read through on the face of it but it doesn’t feel like the movie, unless Kryten has gone Swedish or soemthing..

It does have the hallmarks of a ‘Llewnie’ wind up if you consider the possibility that the Cast could have been in the same place at the same time and maybe planned this over breakfast or something. It really wouldn’t be hard to set up and Robert seems to carry his camcorder everywhere! My doubt on this would be having the five of them together, but on the other hand, it could have been for a GNP meeting or something just as simple.

The possibilities are endless when you think about it and it’s certainly got people buzzing.

I really hope it’s something big but having thought about it, it may be a simple wind up..

I’d like it to be A) The Movie, B) A new episode in the planning or C) A rather expensive planned recording for a read episode for the DVD. In an ideal world Rob and Doug have a written a new episode together and decided on the main cast rather than just Chris.

It certainly raises a lot of questions and interest…
I just hope GNP are behind it..

  • > >I?m very much hoping Andrew will turn up tomorrow and clear all this up!

    > Why tomorrow, out of curiosity? Is he away?

Hey, I’m allowed a bank holiday weekend off now and again!

  • Yeah, I agree with the general mood – it’s looking more and more like a Robert Llewellyn thing…

  • > Phil is Ganymede & Titan?s very own Karl Pilkington!

Can’t you keep this sort of cuntery to the place it belongs?

  • Phil and Monkey, you should really check the main site more often. Ed was with Craig and the rest of the cast : Quote “So, moving on to Friday, January 12th and a day that kicked off with a mammoth two-and-a-half-hour session with producer and director Ed Bye”. And they we all wearing the same clothes as they were at that time. So it was done at the time of the commentary, as I said but spoofed by Robert at that time. Still fun though, and Robert is the only one I know that could do it. I think if this were to hold a bit more water it should have had a mention of the movie, even a half word and stop, would have given more formula to it..

  • >Phil is Ganymede & Titan?s very own Karl Pilkington!

Agreeing with performingmonkey qualifies as Monkey News?

    > Still fun though, and Robert is the only one I know that could do it.

It certainly seems like that’s the most likely conclusion. Still can’t wait to see what it is though…a Rob project that involves the rest of the cast and possibly Ed Bye? Not as exciting as new Dwarf, but exciting nonetheless.

  • James – we heard you the first time. You’re wrong. Firstly, you’re quoting from the *documentaries* article, not commentaries. Secondly, there’s no evidence on TOS that those four actors and Ed were in on the same day. And thirdly, there’s only two relevant pictures on there – one of Ed and one of Chris – and neither of them are wearing the same clothes as they are in the YouTube vid. Apart from that, you’re pretty spot on.

  • >James – we heard you the first time. You?re wrong. Firstly, you?re quoting from the *documentaries* article, not commentaries. Yes i have since been correct by Andrew as well, something can be said of hindsight.

So half of the cast have split off from the main group, have decided to produce something new under the direction of Ed. It could be Dwarf it could be not, it could be the movie, it probably isn’t. It could be in a hotel room, but with no beds, it could be in Shepperton, do they have 107 rooms? All speculation, as what I said was. Incorrect or not.

  • I’d really love it to be something ‘New Dwarf’, have sort of accepted it won’t be a movie, but just anything to be honest would be fantastico. But it probably is just Robert and his bloody mac.

  • “In a complex tale of loneliness, troubled writer Lucien L’hotte (Jean-Yves Thual) struggles with the enormous issues of love, lust and morality. Set up near his office is the Urbino Circus, where a trapeze artist, Isis, strikes up a friendship with the outcast Lucien.

When the Countess Paola Bendoni (Anita Ekberg) seeks his services, Lucien’s life takes a dramatic turn. He visits Paola to read his poison pen letter and uncharacteristically stages a daring and successful seduction. But unbridled passion turns to deadly rage when Paola eventually rejects Lucien. Spiraling out of control, Lucien resigns from his degrading job, reunites with Isis and joins the Urbino Circus. As the Red Dwarf, Lucien finds his niche, but continues to battle his inner demons.”

    Sounds wild.

  • You are not alone John, Trust me. Until the wonders of subtitles did I discover Lister utters the line “boot holly up” amidst raucous laughter in White Hole…

  • And the transcripts available on the net are not really much to go by. I must finish my versions off sometime…

  • If that DVD cover isn’t actually by Dave McKean, then someone is seriously ripping off his style.

  • Any more thoughts on what this could be? I like that we don’t have a clue.

  • It’s like that “Alphabet Of Brooke Shields” thing that’s popping up around London… Strange little viral thing that everyone has seen but hasn’t a bloody clue what it’s about….

  • Loads, but still not the faintest idea, it’s interesting though…

Andrew has dismissed it as being anything to do with GNP, He’s also quashed the idea that it was on a day of any Dwarf recording. Clearly these 5 didn’t appear in the same place by accident, nor I doubt, would they turn up simply as a wind up.

In my view it can only be a joint venture or possibly a (big) favour to one of those present.

Two possibilities cross my mind given the known (percieved) facts…

One possibility is a Robert Llewellyn venture, the film has all the elements of a Llew production and there was a mooted follow up to It2i2. It2i2 was made with the help and time of friends but this would top that by some margin and I doubt their normal fees would be viable in all honesty.

Another possibility is an advert for the DVD. Whilst Andrew has dismissed GNP’s involvement, there have always been two groups in the DVD bed. Who’s to say that 2Entertain havn’t funded a days filming/recording of adverts (Radio and/or TV). Ross McGinley is friendly with at least two of the cast, who’s to say he hasn’t swung a budget for a day or two and given them free reign to come up with something.
OK, I’m probably drifting in to a fantasy world here, but there has to be some explanation. It’s unlikely I know that GNP wouldn’t have a say in any publicity, But Doug would have faith in Ed and the boys, I guess…

I really cant think of any other explanation given that GNP are not involved alledgedly.

  • Has anyone other than me been sad enough to look for anagrams in the posters YouTube user name?

I somehow don’t think ‘Inane Mall Rim’ means anything, googling it was most disturbing :-/

  • Steve Harris:
Andrew has dismissed it as being anything to do with GNP, He?s also quashed the idea that it was on a day of any Dwarf recording

Where’s he done that? I’ve seen him say that GNP didn’t do this, but not the latter part.

  • He said it somewhere on the Webboard – in the Garbage Pod section, thread title ‘I can’t believe it’s not Butler’.

  • Sorry for digging this up, but did anyone ever discover the meaning behind the video in the end? Because this has been bothering me.
