    It’s easy to say TV used to be better. In some respects, it’s true – and in some respects it isn’t.

    But the loss of ITV’s regionality is one genuine, unarguable tragedy of TV in recent years. I feel zero connection to ITV as a channel now – wheras Central used to be by far my favourite channel, which I felt a real loyalty to.

    It stinks.
