Incoming Message… News Posted by Tanya Jones on 23rd March 2009, 16:51 PeaJay18 has kindly sent us news of a Dave competition to win onscreen props, that character teasers have been added to some behind the scenes footage of other Dave shows, and that Craig Charles is writing a blog! Horrah!
Love the fact that some gormy sod has commentated “Answer: Sophie Winkleman”. Oh, have I done that too? Like we don’t know anyway…
Craig’s blog is amusing; And then there’s Danny. I decide that if he mentions any court cases, his or mine, the mallet?s coming out. LOLZ.
I doubt the blog is meant to be taken that seriously, I found it funny and I would be annoyed if I had to pay to get down there.
>I would be annoyed if I had to pay to get down there. Definitely. I’d never accept a job that expected me to finance my own transportation to/from work.
Nice of them to do. Really impressed with Dave’s promotion of the shows so far. Craig’s blog is surprisingly funny. Makes you hope for some kind of accompanying booklet with the DVD release.
I do worry that – this being the internet – some readers of Craig’s blog entry will miss the joke. It’s lovely and dry, and this is an ‘add smileys and exclamation marks’ world. Their first comment-poster seems to prove that some are going to think it’s irony-less…
To be fair, even for someone used to the cast, it is a little too dry to be seen as funny. It makes Craig look grumpy, pissed off and a bad sport.
i saw the funny side of it. only part where he sounded a bit moody was the bit about paying for his own journey, which he has a rite to be, apart from that was very funny
>To be fair, even for someone used to the cast, it is a little too dry to be seen as funny. It makes Craig look grumpy, pissed off and a bad sport. three broken-down TV stars who were famous sometime last century ouch.
Yeah but im glad it wasnt dumbed down to the cat’s level. I read it in the kind of voice Craig used when telling the gunmen horse riding anecdote and laughed my arse off.
If you’re familiar with Craig, you should be able to tell that it’s tongue in cheek; especially when he refers to court cases…
