Fearsome! I was fearsome… News Posted by Ian Symes on 1st April 2009, 11:21 As expected, Dave has updated with the full Cat Always Lands On His Feet video. We sort of blew our load with this video, setting the scene yesterday when we got a wee preview of it. So let’s just copy and paste what we said yesterday, eh? It shows Danny rehearsing and shooting the Cat’s entrance, which is a “homage” to the original, only this time it’s all done on greenscreen with wires. Aging, there. He appears to be landing in a room full of tellies – maybe this is a department in Price Smashers? Yes – it is Price Smashers. Aren’t I clever? You can see the (rather nice) logo in full on the main video, plus Kryten says so after consulting his psi-scan. The psi-scan’s back! Also, Danny’s footwork is still great after all these years – the movements are both Cat-like and cat-like, in an excellent way. And to top it all off, the video ends with Danny doing a joke about Craig Charles’s old crack habit. Hooray!
I liked the footage of them filming. “According to the Psi-scan, sir, we’re in a department store in London, in the early part of the 21st century…” Nice. Slinky and kinky.
> Are all those screens blue because they?re going to key in stuff onto the TVs? Possibly Red Dwarf? Every single TV should feature G&T’s ‘Rob Grant is a fat lazy cunt’ article.
Everything we’re seeing is beyond great. Finally Cat is being the Cat again, Danny doing that splendidly (I’m assuming the greenscreen stuff is them flying through a portal of some kind. Somehow it’s just so old-style Dwarf that the other side of it is in a department store. Kryten’s line IS Red Dwarf. This scene could be from 1993 FFS! The years mean nowt, we’re BACK, baby.
That vid is also available here… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU5DjGJy1JY and, more interstingly, here… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU5DjGJy1JY&flip=1
So does adding “&flip=1” invert any vid? To my great amusement, yes it does! Simple person, simple tastes.
So does adding ?&flip=1? invert any vid? To my great amusement, yes it does! One assumes this was YouTube’s April Fool.
April fool, April schmool. I’m watching youtube that way from now on. It can’t help but improve 99% of the content.
> Does no one think the taxi line could have just been a reference to his role as a cabby in Corrie? No, it was definitely a crack joke. There’s no other explanation.
You wouldn’t think he’d want to joke about it. Though it is funny… Did I mention I have my cock in my hand?
