DwarfCast 46 – CHRISTMAS SPECIAL – Psirens Commentary DwarfCasts Posted by Ian Symes on 24th December 2012, 21:09 Subscribe to DwarfCasts: RSS • iTunes So, here it is. Merry Christmas. Everybody’s having fun. If by ‘having fun’, you mean ‘listening to a G&T Dwarfcast’, that is. Yes, this is a very special Christmas edition of Dwarfcasts, which differs from a normal Dwarfcast in two key ways. Firstly, it has jingle bells at the start, and secondly, there’s a load of self-indulgent festive waffle at the end. So marvel at our Christmassed-up jingle, listen to me, Cappsy, John, Tanya and Danny waffle about Psirens (the most Christmassy of all Red Dwarf episodes) and then tolerate us as we run through some of our plans for the 25th anniversary year. DwarfCast 46 – CHRISTMAS SPECIAL – Psirens Commentary (67.6MB) And just for the record: we wish a very merry Christmas and a happy new year to all of you cunts. Look out more Dwarfcasts and some very exciting anniversary features in the coming weeks.
Right, I’ve had an actual listen to that now. Well done, the stuff for next year sounds great. However, I’m not sure I approve at all of you discussing Doctor Who fanzines and former magazine editors on what purports to be a Red Dwarf podcast! Disgusting.
Do you need anymore? Do you not like her in Gregories Girl and the video of the bluebells Young and Heart?
Merry Christmas to all at G&T; contributors, founders, readers, cunts. Anyone and everyone, love you all!
“Someone who badly needed a pen” & “I’m almost annoyed”. Two of my favourite lines in Red Dwarf which still always make me laugh. And the reintroduction of the characters is absolutely brilliant as well.
It didn’t show up when I went to iTunes on my phone, but iTunes on my PC had picked it up. WEIRD. I’m still undecided as to whether or not The Beginning does make it into my top ten or not. On deeper reflection it probably won’t (top twenty is entirely achievable, though) but let’s see what the instinct is when you do the poll.
It finally appeared on itunes a couple days ago (YAY!). Really looking forward to what’s to come in the new year! I think The Beginning would definitely be in my top twenty at the moment. I’d probably have to watch a few times to decide on if it would rank anywhere on my top ten. Saying that, Trojan was, for a long while, my favourite episode of Series X, but now I think The Beginning might be taking that place. I’m still not entirely sure though.
> It finally appeared on itunes a couple days ago (YAY!). Seriously, what the fuck is iTunes’ problem? I’ve checked our feed numerous times and it’s FAULTLESS. Stupid Apple bastard fucks. HAPPY NEW YEAR,
Psirens contains one of my favourite Red Dwarf scenes. The scene in which the crew are describing the wreckage of the ship is hilarious. ‘Someone who badly needed a pen’ is fucking sublime. A great example of the cast gelling together.
