I want names, I want places, I want dates News Posted by Ian Symes on 11th September 2015, 11:51 DOUG NAYLOR, PINEWOOD STUDIOS, NOVEMBER 2015 TO MARCH 2016. Yes, the tickets for XI and XII are now available, and as we previously reported, it’s being done as a ballot, rather than first come first served. Register your interest here, but calm the fuck down, as you’ve got two weeks to get your name on the list, and just as much chance of success if you do it now or at 5:59pm on Friday 25th September. Best not leave it quite that long, though. Lost in TV’s servers seem to be holding up so far, and we’ve managed to glean a few more pertinent details from the accompanying TOS article: Series XI will record on consecutive Fridays from 13th November to 18th December. Then they’ll have a nice little break for Christmas and the New Year, with Series XII’s studio dates being consecutive Fridays from 29th January to 4th March. As with last time, you’ll be able to apply for up to four tickets per person. You just need to put your name down at this stage, rather than selecting a date – if you’re successful, you’ll pick your date in the week commencing 28th September. The faces of three fifths of the G&T team are currently on TOS’s most important update for ages. This is amusing. Right then, good luck everyone. Let’s meet back here in two weeks to discuss how we got on…
Lost in TV: “We will continue to maintain the ballot and reallocate returns/cancelled tickets up until the final recording in March 2016. Admittance is for those aged 16 and over only.” So you also have a small chance of getting an offer of return tickets right up until March 3rdish if you enter the ballot in the next two weeks.
Is it OK to put your name down if you’re not certain you can make it? Like, I want to go, but being halfway around the world puts a dampener on the proceedings. Could I turn it down if I was to proceed to the next stage? I just don’t want to fuck up the process for anyone else. Not that I would automatically turn it down, mind. I just can’t guarantee that I could afford a UK trip on fairly short notice.
>Could I turn it down if I was to proceed to the next stage? No, they would charter a flight for you and force you to attend. Seriously, though; if you had to turn it down, they’d just give it to someone who missed out. I don’t see why you can’t apply.

I just can’t guarantee that I could afford a UK trip on fairly short notice. Yes. Basically, everyone who registers interest now gets put into a ballot. The tickets will then be allocated randomly, and everyone who got them will be emailed and told to follow a link and claim their tickets by selecting a chosen date. Any tickets that go unclaimed during that round will then be re-allocated in a fresh ballot, and so on and so forth until every seat has been filled by someone who has said that yes, they’re definitely going to go. I’m not sure exactly what the process will be for refusing your ticket if you get allocated one: there might be the option to actually go on and say “I don’t want it after all”, or it might just expire after a set time. I’m sure LITV will explain that in the email, though. What they are trying to make sure of is that nobody picks a date and confirms a ticket, but then doesn’t show up. If you’re confirmed booked on a date, you really need to make sure you (or someone in your stead) turns up, because anything else would be extreme twattery.
Yeah, I’d say there’s no harm in people applying on the off chance – if you’re successful but have to turn it down, it’ll just be reallocated to a fellow fan.
Alright I’ve done it. On the really small chance that I’m successful AND can afford it, I hope to see some of you there. Is there also plans for the G&T team to write-up Set Reports again? Loved reading those, but it might be more difficult to get full coverage this time around.
We’ve been pondering this. I think twelve in the space of four months might be a bit much, and there’s also no guarantee that any of us – admin or loyal subjects – will be as lucky this time as we were last time. We’ll play it by ear, I think.
Hope I don’t end up getting tickets to the episode I’m an extra in, how embarrassing would that be? Could happen. Location extra work on pre recorded play in. Then on the laugh track you could ADR yourself some dialogue!
So basically the prize is that you fill their seats and watch their show for free?? GNP is so selfish.
This is like Charlie and that damn golden ticket! I’ve got a Red Dwarf ticket! Subsequently running home to my out of work sponging, can’t get out of bed grandpa to take me.
I tweeted a slightly shortened version of the following to Doug: If Series XI opens with a newly recreated full Series I/II-style pull-out of Lister painting the F, I swear to God I will donate my organs to Doug Naylor so he can live for another hundred years and keep writing Red Dwarf. https://twitter.com/SimonGutleber/status/645292542511050752
“Mrs Curtis, did you hear me? It’s your husband’s life, or your Red Dwarf XI audience ticket!” “How long will they give me to think it over?”
