Not sure where else they’ve got stores, but I’ve seen the twinpack in both the Brighton and Holborn shops. Whatever you might think of the design of the Remastered Dwarf, the two models are absolutely lovely pieces of work – and at a fiver (with two slightly crappy plastic Rimmer and Lister figures included as well) they’re an absolute steal… Creator Topic Viewing 18 replies - 1 through 18 (of 18 total) Author Replies September 7, 2008 at 4:08 pm #84100 Mr FlibbleParticipant I thought this was an advert for a plumber or something. September 7, 2008 at 4:29 pm #84102 Danny StephensonKeymaster Erm… http://www.modelzone.co.uk/search-red+dwarf.htm “As seen in the 2003 movie, the Mother Ship is where the whole series of wacky dimension-hopping misadventures begins” WHAT 2003 MOVIE?!!?!?!? September 7, 2008 at 4:33 pm #84103 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I’m more concerned by “wacky”. September 7, 2008 at 5:43 pm #84106 PhilParticipant >WHAT 2003 MOVIE?!!?!?!? This one, dummy! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dwarf-Movie-Book-Andrew-Ellard/dp/0743477952/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1220809311&sr=8-5 September 7, 2008 at 5:59 pm #84109 Seb PatrickKeymaster >I thought this was an advert for a plumber or something. Title’s a reference to a Half Man Half Biscuit song which is indeed about CORGI rather than Corgi. September 7, 2008 at 7:08 pm #84112 Tanya JonesParticipant The CORGI qualification relates to gas installation, rather than plumbing. Sorry. September 7, 2008 at 9:00 pm #84114 pfmParticipant > This one, dummy! http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dwarf-Movie-Book-Andrew-Ellard/dp/0743477952/ref… Lol, I like how my review is the ‘most helpful critical review’. Who the hell actually voted that it was helpful?? Got the models. Love em. I don’t think anyone whines about the Re-mastered ship anymore, do they? Surely not. September 7, 2008 at 10:52 pm #84121 ChrisMParticipant I have the Starbug and scutter, but not the Red Ship. This is kinda tempting (I guess I could sell the superfluous bug. Or paint a ‘2’ it’s side? September 8, 2008 at 8:24 am #84123 DaveParticipant >Or paint a ?2? it?s side? Wow, not even Stabug 2 had a 2 on it. September 8, 2008 at 11:00 am #84124 ChrisMParticipant >Wow, not even Stabug 2 had a 2 on it. Actually, they did paint a 2 on one of the models, but you don’t see it on screen. Ironically it’s the one that was used at the end of series 5. You know the one with the extra lights when in submarine mode? The one that (if the comic continuity is to be taken) returned to find Red Dwarf had mysterious scarpered.. … effectively becoming Starbug 1 in series 6. (As I said, ‘2’ was obscured though so it’s not a continuity problem after all… September 8, 2008 at 1:20 pm #84126 TonguetiedParticipant I got the Starbug playset manufactured by Product Enterprise. I would be tempted to by the Corgi models but since they don’t have the original Red Dwarf(as per series 1 to 5, and it’s brief appearances in 7) I don’t really fancy the Remastered ship. Would have been nice if they made the original ship as well as the Remastered so everyone can be happy. But it’s not a huge deal, it’s not even a moderately sized deal, it’s just a quibble on my part, call me a purist…or a moaner. September 8, 2008 at 1:33 pm #84128 DaveParticipant We do September 8, 2008 at 2:04 pm #84131 TonguetiedParticipant All in a day’s work when your a Red Dwarf fan Davey boy. A purist moaner I thank you. September 8, 2008 at 8:24 pm #84136 Mr FlibbleParticipant The CORGI qualification relates to gas installation, rather than plumbing. Yes, I know. I – a) thought “plumber” was easier to understand/funnier than “gas installation technician” b) thought no-one would really care c) know that there are plumbers that do gas and vice versa, as they’re sort of linked. September 8, 2008 at 8:34 pm #84137 Mr FlibbleParticipant I hadn’t seen the reviews for the “Movie Book” on Amazon before! Very good :) September 8, 2008 at 9:10 pm #84138 Squeaky GibsonParticipant I started reading them last night and I burst out laughing! my family were wondering what was soo funny. September 8, 2008 at 9:36 pm #84141 PhilParticipant If only there were more reviews!
