I’m back. Did you miss me?

Could someone please remind me of, or if you’re feeling really lovely help me find, the Red Dwarf font. I appreciate Red Dwarf has had lots of fonts, but I’m sure like me one stands out from the end credits and various props.

The reason behind this is I’ve decided I’m going to uniformly re-label much of the office I work in and figured if it’s going to have a very stale black on white feel it might as well look a bit HMC.

It closely resembles Eurostile Bold condensed.

edit: Sorry, I quickly read the post and thought you were referring to the font on the actual ship. Internally, yes, most of it looks like Eurostile extended

Our Tom says it’s ‘Microgramma D Extended’ – it’s what’s he’s used on his CG-type bazookoid and whatnot, plus he says that it’s free from the interweb.

Ah! Thank you Si, or rather Tom. That was the one I was thinking off. Slight hitch as I didn’t have the admin rights required to install said font, but found a tasty workaround. Job done. Thanks to all (apart from Si).

I think it needs stating that Eurostile Extended Bold and MicrogrammaDBolExt looks virtually identical, there’s another font called ‘CID’ that is another near perfect match.

Microgramma is the one GNP now use as a facsimile of the original, but it’s not a free font. Eurostile Extended is the one generally accepted as a good alternative. Either it’s free, or one of the G&T crowd had a copy they passed around, because it’s the one generally used here (we used it throughout the book, for example).

I found and used MicrogrammaDBolExt. The office is slowly turning Dwarfy.
