This Morning With Ganymede Not Titan

Although actually it happened 4 billion years ago. This is really taking “slow news day” to a new level.

I can’t believe the online rolling media cycle has desensitised people to such an extent that something like this is so quickly considered old news.

Ganymede got torn to shit. We just lost all the big reptiles. Another point for Earth, the best planet in the universe.

I dunno, you’re comparing planets and moons here. Thin end of the wedge, you’ll be saying All Lives Matter soon.

God, Ganymede is such a asteroid hipster, doing it before it was cool.

Ganymede is bigger than Mercury and Mercury’s a planet. Ganymede just happens to be stuck orbiting the second biggest gravity well in the solar system.

    It’s a loser planet.

Let’s not open that can of worms. It’s bad enough they’re saying Pluto isn’t a planet but the Moon might be.

It’s quite a way away. Take a little while for news to reach us.

Nobody’s laid telegraph lines between Earth and the outer solar system yet. Somebody had to ride a horse.

If you want Pluto to be a planet then there are hundreds of other bodies you have to invite to the planet party. Education systems around the world would break under the pressure of teaching the new mnemonic.

    What’s the mnemonic now

I never really understood mnemonics. In school they would try to teach us some stupid story about whatever to try to help us remember the order of the planets, but I just… remembered the order of the planets. The teacher would ask me to recite the mnemonic and I’d just be like, Mercy venus earth mars jupiter saturn uranus neptune pluto bitch what do you mean.

Quinn rejects Pluto, but considers Eris a planet.

    #298077

Appropriately, Eris was the Greek goddess of chaos.
