Now the question here is, do we prefer accuracy or artistic integrity? ‘Twas the BBC who misspelled it, after all, nothing to do with G&T. *Artistic integrity does not apply to typos, although some cases become so infamous there is a cultural basis for leaving them as is, such as ‘a moment’s violence for the Queen Mother’. I’m certain the process has been explained on here before, but I can’t remember it now. Either way, the Blu ray release changing it means the phonetic spellings aren’t sacrosanct at least. I do know Danny has taken some creative license with the phonetic lines in places but if possible it was taken from the script books if there was any ambiguity.
