Well it’s the natural follow on isn’t it?

I saw the alt text of the new XKCD

We’re working to make sure the images are as up-to-date and accurate as possible, with a minimum number of sponsored galaxies.

… and I thought: “COKE ADDS LIFE!”

Watching the special edition of Dr Who: Warriors of the Deep and when it cut to this I thought I was watching Back in the Red. Not a line but I couldn’t find if there was a “Things from something else that look like they’re from Red Dwarf” or not.

Trailers for something else that seem very reminiscent of one particular episode of Red Dwarf:

But will this movie do what Red Dwarf didn’t, and interrogate the fact that the matriarchal alternate reality makes the women masculine and the men feminine?

This 1995 book involves teenagers bodyswapping, which turns out to be because (SPOILER) one’s murdered her parents and wants to escape the consequences, which reminded me of Butch’s similar getaway in Trixie LaBouche’s body in Better Than Life. But on looking it up, that turned out to be from the Smegazine’s revised/alt take rather than the novel (in the book, he borrows her body first and uses it to rob some banks, which is less similar). So R.L. Stine obviously read the Smegazine version.

This wasn’t intended to be a nudge about DwarfCasts, but still.

And, more importantly, will it feature baby robots?

Something just seen in Patriot (2015-18) that turns out to be real:

The hopping procession of Echternach (Iechternacher Sprangprëssioun) is an annual Roman Catholic procession held at Echternach, in eastern Luxembourg.

The first written reference of the hopping saints goes back to 1497, but the origins must be from much earlier.
