Doug’s just (well, an hour ago) Tweeted that he’s now on Bluesky (who isn’t these days?), but also that he’s got a new (non-Dwarf) novel out in the New Year.

(Although that link should be dougrdnaylor.bsky.social, as opposed to his attempting to direct you to the old Satellite TV company)
    So, yeah.

My favorite part about BlueSky is all the most visible replies on any given post aren’t clogged up with the dumbest people on Earth.

That’s good to hear. I was worried I would have to stay on Twitter to keep up with the complete lack of Red Dwarf news.

Doug is no longer interested in the audience Twitter used to attract.

I guess I’ll be in line to buy a new Doug novel, even if Last Human was a little rough. Maybe he’s polished his prose/editing since then.

Talking of which, did Robert’s novel come out yet or is that next year too?

It is honestly a little odd that Doug has not published a novel in nearly 30 years.

To be fair, he was busy emailing the Duke of Manchester for most of that.

Not out yet, no, so I imagine that’ll be next year.

Why did he hide away so long? What did we do wrong?

He has therefore been charged with gross dereliction of duty.

“crit ambled down the stuffy corridor, his pink suit chafing against his sweaty body, “can’t wait to retirement” he thought, (chapter long origin story of how he was trained in Crit Cop academy and his greatest cases and controversies)”

If I wasn’t so sleep deprived I would be taking this shit to “Have you ever actually READ any of it?” and writing like 1500 words.
