November 1, 2019 at 8:10 pm #255496 DaveParticipant Oh, that’s nice. Some praise there from Dan Slott and Duncan Fegredo too – very cool. November 3, 2019 at 10:24 am #255530 Seb PatrickKeymaster Rachael’s been doing RD stuff on there for a while, she’s particularly good at Rimmer: Grand Canyon nostrils pic.twitter.com/7eRVkzm7WG — Rachael Stott (@RachaelAtWork) October 29, 2019 She commented a little while back that she didn’t think her likeness-realistic style was a good fit for comedy, but I think those page samples show she’d work just fine. The love of the characters really helps to lift and give it life. I do still think that the ideal RD comic would maybe have a slightly more cartoony style on interiors (someone like Max Sarin would be perfect) but Rachael on covers. Not sure there’s anyone better at actor likenesses currently working in comics. Imagine a one-time Smegazine limited edition to promote the new special. Called Series IX. November 3, 2019 at 4:53 pm #255536 DaveParticipant Slott and Fegredo were just the first ones I saw, yes. Nice to see some other familiar names pop up in the replies too. November 3, 2019 at 9:34 pm #255548 siParticipant About time I did some new Dwarfy drawings. I think it’s been about twenty years since my last lot. November 3, 2019 at 9:39 pm #255549 siParticipant Wrong address. What was Holly about to announce, out of interest? November 4, 2019 at 6:58 pm #255567 siParticipant Well, just that there was a big blue box appeared in the cargo bay. November 4, 2019 at 9:09 pm #255571 Pete Part ThreeParticipant I appreciated the tribute to the Daily Express adaptation of Thunderball in the final panel. November 6, 2019 at 4:31 pm #255599 Kris CarterParticipant I want to work on an official Red Dwarf comic like you would not believe. *le sigh* November 11, 2019 at 9:15 pm #255749 siParticipant And there’s more (from Rachel, not me): Enough people said nice things about my barely-even-a-thing #RedDwarf fan comic over the weekend that I came back and added another page of no plot or dialogue pic.twitter.com/mfqotSjyAj — Rachael Stott (@RachaelAtWork) November 11, 2019 Author Replies Viewing 12 replies - 1 through 12 (of 12 total) Scroll to top • Scroll to Recent Forum Posts You must be logged in to reply to this topic.
