Just received the following from a friend:

In more important news, and I mean that quite sincerely, a guy in Fallout 2 mentioned his mining buddy “Dangerous Dan McGrew”.

Firstly: Ahaha, you’ll never know what the less minor news was, idiots!

Secondly: Any more examples of Dwarf being referenced in a game?

Well if we’re going through gamertags then mine is VS Band. I’m guessing a fair ammount of Partridge fans got all the other variations of Venture South that I tried first.

My lack of belief is not so much from the idealogical or online infrastructure and more from the fact that I currently support a four platform habit of pc, wii, ps3 and psp (although spend on the wii and psp is minimal at the moment) The ps3 was a gift from the wife in the days when we were both working full time and could afford such awesome frivolity. Going for a third console now may just make me bankrupt rather than broke.

I managed to back up stuff before it all went crazys and its all stored now on on my big ugly desktop. No panic.

Netbook has been revivved, huzzah! Recent fics have been backed up but I lost my old ones months ago (I don’t have copies of most of the Ace Chronicles on ff.net OOPS)

(By the way, incredibly touched that you were worried about fic loss. Loveoo!)
