Ok I remember Pollymorph Remastered had it’s delayed premiere on BBC One. December 10, 2007 at 2:51 pm #118362 AndrewParticipant > Ok I remember Pollymorph Remastered had it?s delayed premiere on BBC One. Really?! I think it was BBC Two… December 10, 2007 at 6:14 pm #118368 thomasaevansParticipant Andrew…me being the sad bastard that I am… I have the recording of it with the BBC One Balloons ident. Somewhere :S December 10, 2007 at 6:24 pm #118369 AndrewParticipant That’s…odd. December 10, 2007 at 6:25 pm #118370 John HoareParticipant Now that *is* interesting! Have you got the equipment there to do a capture of it if you ever come across it, Thomas? I recall some discussions elsewhere on the site – I think one episode of the original run of the show was time-and-channel-shifted in Scotland, so there’s at least one more episode there. Someone on here had a recording of it, but I can’t remember any more details… December 10, 2007 at 7:59 pm #118373 thomasaevansParticipant John my man Im on the case. Watch this space! December 11, 2007 at 4:07 am #118383 John HoareParticipant Excellent. December 18, 2007 at 9:44 pm #118627 Tarka DalParticipant Red Dwarf skipped to BBC One twice during it’s repeat run in 1994, but only in Scotland. Yes sir (I can boogie) and it was me. I do have the eps on VHS, but A) I can’t be sure I’ve got the cuntinuity and B) they’ve been kept in cardboard boxes, in a shed, in the north coast of Scotland for the last two winters. When I do eventually recover them the chances are they will be damaged and useless. Of course this wouldn’t have happened if we’d all stuck to Betamax. December 18, 2007 at 11:35 pm #118634 AndrewParticipant Ah. Scotland. Makes sense. December 19, 2007 at 12:24 am #118639 Jason aka Smeg4BrainsParticipant > Ah. Scotland. Makes sense. Scotland doesn’t make sence. December 19, 2007 at 12:27 am #118640 mickParticipant >Of course this wouldn?t have happened if we?d all stuck to Betamax. My work here is done B-) December 19, 2007 at 1:19 pm #118648 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Did Betamax come with special winter jackets, or something? December 19, 2007 at 4:18 pm #118651 mickParticipant I could sit here and type a long explanation as to why the magnetic tape used in Betamax cassettes is less effected by heat, cold and general ageing, fortunately I need to go for a shit. December 19, 2007 at 7:52 pm #118662 Tarka DalParticipant VHS was lower quality. VHS was cheaper. VHS was Badong. My favourite version of Return of the Jedi is a Betamax copy of the movie premiere taped off Anglia in 1989 (I think). Somehow without Kylie jumping around in a pair of cowboy chaps and Griff Rhys Jones putting a pair of glasses to his eyes and saying “Ooooooooonly meeeeeee” just after the Rancor sequence it doesn’t feel the same. December 19, 2007 at 9:49 pm #118665 Danny StephensonKeymaster > Griff Rhys Jones putting a pair of glasses to his eyes and saying ?Ooooooooonly meeeeeee? No no. It was “This could be your lucky DAY!!!” December 30, 2007 at 12:12 am #118865 Tarka DalParticipant Yes! You’re right. I was confusing my inflections. December 30, 2007 at 3:18 pm #118880 Danny StephensonKeymaster That could be painful… December 30, 2007 at 5:28 pm #118885 Tarka DalParticipant I see your point. December 31, 2007 at 10:59 am #118898 Danny StephensonKeymaster Why, have my trousers fallen down? No, they’re up, I can see they’re up… Oh! I see your point… December 31, 2007 at 11:18 am #118901 Tarka DalParticipant Why, have my trousers fallen down? No, they?re up, I can see they?re up? Oh! I see your point! OH KARL, WHAT HAVE YOU STARTED?!?!?!?!?!?!?!! December 31, 2007 at 11:31 am #118904 Tarka DalParticipant I started a joke. Which started the whole world crying.
