I saw this game on a Star Trek forum, and it’s a way to pass the time with diminishing praise or increasing bile, whatever’s your poison.

THE OBJECTIVE: A sudden-death elimination game in which we remove our personal favorite episodes from a themed list, until we arrive at the episode that is, if not the worst, at least the most disliked.

It’s a framework to say positive things about episodes from across the series.

THE RULES: Below is a list of [first episodes from every Red Dwarf series] so far. Eliminate/save the one you deem the ‘best’ of what currently remains.

Post something you enjoy about the episode you are saving, and copy-and-paste the list with your choice removed.

I don’t know whether at least 12 people will care to take part. If not, multiple turns are allowed after waiting patiently. If this goes the distance, I guess we’ll have organised the worst Red Dwarf series ever, which would have been totally impossible to predict in advance.

I can’t not save Knot.    Shend is a “small role in things” legend. He’s in loads of great stuff. Including being a band member in Knowing Me Knowing you with Alan Partridge. His Red Dwarf death is great, love it.

And as your saying multiple turns are allowed. I’m saving Baxter also. Saw Ricky as a stand up when i was a 90s student he’s great, and he’s in Black Books. Baxter is a recurring character in series 8. He is probably the dwarfer who comes after Mac and Tony Hawks as recurring. (and that voice bloke in 12)

MP Thornton, Doc Newton, Doctor, Panel Woman Officer, Second Woman Officer, Last Woman Officer, First Ground Controller, Guard (Cassandra), Mex, Young Kochanski, Young Cat, and Talia were all equally unworthy of being saved, and so they’re all the joint most disliked series VIII guest character.

I’ve only seen The End about 200 times, so it’s maybe not surprising that I’ve never consciously noticed that guy before, nor Lister practically running away from him, but this is some Mandela effect shit.

They all appeared in multiple episodes (well, the dispenser with a lisp did not, but Tony Hawks played vending machines in various episodes, including several in s1)

Anyway, as much as I love the Trout Dispenser, I have to throw respect on the name of Noel Coleman and pick the Cat Priest. Go fish!

Yes, but technically so are Hollister and Ackerman in s8, but they weren’t on the list. I was just trying to be consistent and keep it one-episode only (also to avoid bloat)

Ackerman was, I only nebulously left out Hollister, Selby and Chen (I think) for not being VIII exclusive. That limitation is more annoying for Series I though, when Captain, C. Z. Kochanski, Petersen, Chen and Selby are some of the most prominent guests and it’s otherwise quite barren.
