Are you still going to be a part of the G&T admin?

That’s up to the other guys. As far as i’m aware my role on G&T doesn’t need to change. I’m still graphics and audio bod, but it might be a couple of weeks til I get settled in Malmö before you see anything new from me. Job is awesome, btw. First week pretty much completed and today I move into more permanent digs. Which is nice, i’ll be able to concentrate more on my work knowing where I’ll be staying. :)

To be honest, I don’t game that much to be honest. Little Big Planet was one of those games that took me by surprise, LBP2 more so. A game that allows people to make their own games within itself is a very special thing, and the stuff that people have managed to make is incredible.

It’s just nice to be a part of it all :)

I’m working as a Sound Designer/Implementer at Tarsier Studios, who made Little Big Planet Vita. So it’s kind of awesome to be working for a company that worked with one of my favorite games!

LBP Vita is originally what I applied for at Tarsier, but was unsuccessful at the time. 18 months later a similar position opened up and I was asked If I was still interested! (Silly question, really)

Still can’t quite believe i’m here doing this to be honest. Really weird feeling.

Sweden, specifially Malmo, is like a PlanEat city, every type of food is done here!

Cleverbot: Alrighty. What did you order?

    User: Lager.

Cleverbot: I got you… crème de menthe. Ok, here it is – I like you a lot, Gerald… Samantha…

    User: User…

Cleverbot: User. That’s the one. I like you a lot.

User: Oh thanks very much, you’re not so bad yourself

Cleverbot: Don’t touch my arm. And uhh… where have you gone?

User: I’m here. You’re looking at me.

Cleverbot: Oh right. Yeah. So… what do you want?

User: You mentioned something about a job.

Cleverbot: What would I have to do?

User: No, uh, in the bookshop.

Cleverbot: But I already work in a bookshop! Do you have anything… in an aquarium?

    User: Er, no… for me.

Cleverbot: Oh yeah, right, of course. Sorry sorry sorry sorry. Of course. Right. (to an old woman walking past the
    table) You leaving, User?

User: No, that’s the old woman.

Cleverbot: I’m Cleverbot. (Offers his hand)

    User: User. (They shake hands)

Cleverbot: So. What do you want?

    User: You mentioned a job.

Cleverbot: What would I have to do?

    User: For me.

Cleverbot: Oh yes yes yes of course. Very simple, very simple. Here we go. Do you want a job?

    User: Great, yes.

    Cleverbot: What’s great? What? What?

I’m not saying that slasher elements were unnecessary, the fact that these extremely ridiculous deaths were played out in Somerset creates the biggest juxtaposition and in itself is hilarious. My point was that I’m not sure if the whole horror/killer elements was kept low key in the trailer, or was I just terribly naive?

I really like Paul. It’s a love letter to the Spielberg/ILM-era of sci-fi films. That spaceship at the end just fills me with Douglas Trumbull-like joy.

It’s a cracking film with an excellent CGI protagonist, which is difficult to pull off with a budget film, and he has genuine character.

it’s certainly not perfect but it’s action packed enough and got enough geeky humour without being offensive, and I doubt it would have got to that point with Pegg and Frost writing.

I’m looking forward to the World’s End though, although it’s a film that’s gone in a direction I wasn’t expecting. I had this same experience with Hot Fuzz, I genuinely didnt know that Hot Fuzz was a slasher film. Did anyone else here not know when they went to the cinema? I’m pretty sure it wasn’t in the trailer (or for some reason i never actually got round to watching them), but I was genuinely shocked when Draper and Blower got their heads stoved in…

doria day? Doris day surely? But the one who guessed the 2 point answer in that is awesome. I dont ever remember hearing that name ever. Wow.

    BOLLOCKS!

That is meant to be Doris Day. Typo. Ah well, the survey is done and dusted. Will try harder next time.

Brilliant effort and execution. Looks like this DJ really upped the ante on the Friday and Sunday compared to the years I’ve been.

We always try and raise the bar a little higher with each year. Last year it was Smeggheads, this year we had Pointless. It was so successful, I think we’ll do it again! but with proper sound, and maybe more than one camera, and maybe, just maybe, that camera might move at some point…

I bought a Hauppauge HD PVR 1 to do my Sledgehammer vid, that links via USB and can handle 720 or 1080i (but no one uses 1080i for games because it’s shite)

I dont know if a HDMI version exists but I’ve found mine to be REALLY useful…

The simplest way to understand Pointless: it’s like Family Fortunes, but backwards.

Pretty much this. Questions are put to 100 people before the show, and their collective thoughts are turned into a point structure to base the game on.

Lowest score wins. Get the lowest score by thinking of answers that not many of the 100 people would have thought of. That’s it :)

DJ vets – Do the merch booths take credit cards? Trying to figure out how much cash to convert.

No, there won’t be any way to pay by credit or debit cards in the merch room. There are cash machines in the local vicinity, but for you international peeps, it’s best to just account for merch in cash. :)

Oh yeah, I needed a a rhyme for bosom to give Danny the feed didn’t I? Uh, ok let’s go with:

This is getting terribly muddled. You gave the feed to my like of ‘extraordinary’ (and i thank you for this) and you have to provide the next line. Which I’m taking as this…

I just can’t get it out of my head. It’s just so catchy! “Om!”

“it must be wired up to the warning system, but not the bomb…”

    I reply with:

Funny you should say that… Always reminds me of this music from The Sea Hawk.

It had Errol Flynn in it. you can tell where John Williams gets his inspiration from.
