The Man Who Wasn?t There is my favourite Coen movie, after that Barton Fink and Big Lebowski.

Barton Fink was the first one I saw. I think it’s highly underrated.

Re Seb’s list: yes, yes and yes.
Well worth watching, or re-watching as most of these haven’t been shown for years.

    > It?s funny some of you say you haven?t heard of him, but in the Movie thread, you mention in Bruges. He played young Harry.

    I honestly don’t remember him.

    > Funny on certain forums they are saying he is too young when Davison was only a couple of years older

He’s not “too young”, it’s just that I would have welcomed a more mature actor.
Someone said earlier in the thread that’d they’d like to see another grandfather figure, and I agree. Far more interesting.

I have absolutely no idea who the guy is, hence I have no opinion at all.

Although I’m rather disturbed that they’re going for younger and younger doctors.

    > only instead of taking them home it takes them to the wrong universe each time encountering parallel counterparts along the way

    I know I shouldn’t, but I quite like this.
But I’m not keen on them just recycling old characters – characters like Duane and Ace have well and truly run their course. What would be interesting is to see some new alternative versions of the crew.

    *Are* we emotionally rollercoasting?
We’ve not heard anything since Bobby had his head cast, so there’s still time for it all to go tits up – like a certain movie I could mention.

OK, maybe that’s overly pessimistic, but the lack of any news at all is preventing me from getting too excited.

    9. Movie/TV marathons – select the TV or movie series of your choice and watch for an unfeasible number of hours whilst consuming vast quantities of food and alcohol, until a) you fall asleep, or b) your brain melts.

I can’t see them doing an improv show. Bobby, possibly; Craig, at a push; Chris/Danny, no.
But I could be wrong. Maybe they’d be great. What do I know, anyway?

Neither can I see them doing old scenes purely from memory. There’s no way that I’d be able to remember the details of a job that I did 10-20 years ago, which is what you’d be asking them to do.
They could just give them the old scripts and ask them to do it without any rehearsal, but I can’t see that being particulary different or exciting – and different/exciting, if I remember correctly, is what was originally implied.
So there has to be more to it.

It seems more like someone’s posting the barest snippets of info to prompt us into a frenzy of speculation.

    > but I think that Douglas actually not caring would have been far more interesting than the mishearing reveal

Agreed. It would have been great character development, but as it was it told us nothing about Douglas that we don’t already know. The mishearing seemed a bit of a too-easy way to resolve the story.

Not that I didn’t enjoy the ep – I did – but it feels like a bit of a lost opportunity.

    > For some reason I found the punch up disturbing.

Me too. I find very difficult to watch male-on-female violence (even when it’s not *supposed* to be a woman)

Yeah, disappointing. The Douglas plot started and ended well, but seemed pretty predictable otherwise. And the other stuff seemed almost sidelined.

    However, the Internet was lovely.
