1) Woolies may have to sell off all their existing stock dead cheap, and

I would LOVE to see that version. Lots of serious dialogue, pretentious Hollywood blather of ?this isn?t the Reich we wish to serve? etc, etc?and ?it only takes a few good men to stand true? then right at the end, a mysterious door opens in the air and a cherub faced scouser jumps out, beats up Hitler and nicks the briefcase. Imagine how many smegged off people there?d be. Lovely.

That’s all I could think of when I saw it.
No matter how good/bad the movie is, I’m always going to be hearing “banana and crisps …?”

It’s the only VII ep that stands up to repeated viewing, if you ask me.

Despite it’s gaping plot holes and contradictions, and the fact that it isn’t nearly as funny as it could have been, I still like Tikka. I wish that they had continued in this direction – more comedy drama than sit-com.
I know the ratings, for VIII especially, are against me, but Dwarf was certainly due for a makeover at the time and going in that direction would have been infinitely preferable to what they gave us.
Just imagine what they could have done had they gone in the same direction as new Who.

But the bit that *really* bugs me about Tikka is the tug-of-war with Lee Harvey Oswald – he’s in the same freakin’ room, how the hell can they not see him?

I have to agree with Pete/Danny/Phil, RA is famously very shy in that respect.
He’s probably contracted to do a certain amount of promotion if it’s a new movie, but he’s certainly not obliged to take part in a retrospective clip show.
It’s a shame he’s not involved, but … *shrugs*

IMO those kind of references have only aged the show, and must baffle non-UK viewers.
The cultural references that have worked best in Dwarf have been those little sci-fi homages – like the homage to Bladerunner in Justice, or to 2001 when Holly is erased in Queeg (there are others, but I’ve had far too much wine at the moment to think of them).

I think the love of a certain Doctor comes from the time you actually saw it as a child, or it did. It was if I grew up with John Devon Roland Pertwee, you followed his adventure, his life, and you wanted to live it yourself. That?s why he?s my favorite anyway.

I remember Pertwee, but I think I was a little too young to appreciate Who at the time – I was only four when he met his demise, and had nightmares for days afterwards, apparently. I think that’s where my arachnophobia stems from.
Tom Baker was my Doctor. He’s still the best IMO.

I loved Chris Eccleston’s Doctor, but that’s more because I think he’s sexy as fuck.
I don’t mind Tennant, although I hate the Tennant/Piper combination – just want to give ’em both a good slapping.
