I’ve always associated him with The Guide, although I knew he did a lot of other stuff – but I’m staggered to see just how much!

A sad loss.

I’d have a hard time choosing betwen III and V for first place.
V is more consistently good, but I think the best bits of III are far superior.

7. VIII
8. VII

in fact, I prefer to pretend that VII doesn’t exist

I almost-but-not-quite like VIII. I mean, there *is* some good material there, but there’s also a lot of weak gags that are, frankly, unworthy of RD.

Had they ruthlessly edited the script, cut out the padding and the more cringe-worthy moments (blue midget dance, basketball game, Archie, most of Krytie TV), and condensed the good stuff into 6 eps instead of 8, then, yes, it could have been great.

VII, now, is another matter entirely.

Likewise Pete should have been left as a single ep.

I think having a bit of Ace in there would be good.

As much as I love the characters, unless they can do something fresh with them then I think Ace, Dwayne, et al should be put to rest.

He did say that he had tried to contact Doug to ask him about this sort of thing, and Doug had promised to get back to him, but he hadn’t managed to speak to him in time for the show. Or something.

I’d love to see what the photoshopped board looked like – can someone post a pic?

The Make-your-own board isn’t as big as a standard Monopoly board – not as many spaces. And the label making software’s a bit naff too. You could probably do better with Photoshop.

I’m tempted to have a go. My son has an unused Make-your-own-opoly (he had big intentions to make it into Firefly-oply at one point, but it never materialised). As he’s recently discovered Dwarf for the first time, he might be up for making it.

Sure, it might be a regular episode – either standalone, or a VIII resolution. But let?s not forget that this is also a programme in the year of or near to Dwarf?s 20th anniversary. As such, it might take the form of something similar to the ?Allo ?Allo or Goodies specials a while back. We have absolutely no idea what kind of show this might be!

It had crossed my mind that it might be a “best of” or a clip show kind of thing, but the fact that it says there’s a script being finalised would suggest otherwise ….?

I loved Rab C Nesbitt, but I didn?t remember Tennant?s appearance. I?ve only seen the clip on Comedy Connections, where he looks strangely attractive.

I was a huge fan of Rab, but haven’t seen any since it was last aired.

The Tennant clip will be on youtube somewhere.
I don’t know about attractive …. DT in drag makes me squirm. And not in a good way.
