I feel for you, Blisschick. I have a couple of fangirl girl friends who are normally addicted to perfectly reasonable things like Who, but have now succombed to the evil that is Twilight. I was dragged around Collectormania few weeks ago just so they could get a few glimpses of somone who was a wolf, or something(?).
And Robert Pattinson is a big girl who needs a good slapping, imho.

Jo, I didn’t need to post any bills in, it was all done automatically by the cashback site. All you do is register with them and then – importantly – access the retailer’s site via the link on the cashback site. The transaction generally tracks after a couple of days and then you wait a few weeks for the lovely money.
I’ve bought 2 phones this way, and I’ve recommended it to friends who have had no problems with the cashback being paid.
But you have to check out the feedback for each retailer – Orange, for example, offer more cashback, but people seem to have problems getting them to pay up.
I do quite a lot of my online shopping via that cashback site and I must make a few hundred quid a year.

I’ve bought a couple of phones via this site. Last time I used ‘e2save’ who pay £43 cashback on a new contract (or £70 if it’s an iphone). It takes a couple of months for the cash to be paid, but, hey, it’s *free money*!!!

Indeed. I had issues with Tennant for most of his tenure, and I actually enjoyed ‘Blink’ all the more for his absence.

I’ve just watched it for the second time and I’m still blown away by the scale of the awesome.

Too many wonderful moments to mention …. but the scene at Amelia’s bedside has to be the greatest thing ever – can I have Smith’s babies now, please?

Don’t you think that playing D&D is a little OOC for Moss? …. I mean, it involves a degree of social interaction with a group of people, and social interaction is hardly Moss’s forte. D&D seems much more Roy’s kind of game.

I’ve only just seen The Lodger, but I’d say it was easily the best episode for the past few weeks.
The Hungry Earth/Cold Blood was disappointingly dull – I mean it *should* have been good, but never quite got there, and even Vincent wasn’t especially exciting for me.
There definitely has been a lull … I kind of lost the impetus to watch it as it was broadcast over the last few weeks, but I absolutely loved this last ep.

Just to expand on Jo’s answers …

Non- candidates: *everyone* on the island was originally a candidate – do you remember the cave with all the names crossed out? And the wheel in the lighthouse? The final candidates were decided by a process of elimination.

Charlie: he wasn’t using anymore at that point (he says so himself), but he was having freaky dreams/visions and getting pretty paranoid.

Time Travel: although it’s a rather unsatisfying explanation, I see this as a plot device so that they could show us the history of the island.

Widmore: neither Ben nor Widmore were ‘special’, their conflict was all about control of the island … but neither understood its true nature (nor did Alpert)

Jack’s tattoo: Matthew Fox already had the tattoo, and they foolishly tried to write a whole episode around it. The definition of a filler ep.

Shannon/Nadia: The people were linked because of their experiences on the island. Nadia was never on the island.

Ben/Locke: Ben said it himself – he was jealous, and Ben was still trying to get back to the island at that point. It was for the same reason that he tried to kill him every other time; jealous because he was losing control, because Locke was ‘special’.

Each candidate was given a number in the cave and on the wheel in the lighthouse, and as the candidates were eliminated the numbers corresponded to those who were left.

Update … I had the DVD within a couple of days, it’s not the best quality but very watchable.

It took me about half of the first ep to get into it, but grew on me very quickly from then on. I’ve watched about half the eps so far and I’m loving it – Jack Docherty & Mark Williams are a joy! Recommended. £4 well spent.

Also, being something of a Blake’s 7 fan, I was pleasantly suprised to find little cameos from Gareth Thomas and Paul Darrow.

I’d be tempted to have a go at the bunk room.
I once had way, way too much time on my hands and made the Swan hatch from Lost, complete with bunks, computer room and full compliment of Losties (and Henry Gale locked in the armoury!), so a RD interior should be do-able.

I’m loving Smith’s Doctor more and more with every ep – there were so many stand-out moments for the character in that last episode. He’s my favourite New Who Doctor, no contest.

I don’t see it as inconsistent. There’s no ‘romance’ here, rather an understandable emotional reaction to a near-death experience.
