I’ve got some old ones that are fine but a few of my newer blu-ray ones have started crackling :( April 14, 2016 at 7:49 pm in reply to: DWM Special Edition: Special Effects #213667 mickParticipant I am interested. November 16, 2013 at 7:53 pm in reply to: Night of the Doctor Minisode #209450 mickParticipant Pretty much ejaculated immediately on seeing Paul McGann, damn it that man deserved a series. September 9, 2013 at 2:16 pm in reply to: Lunar Dwarf #209206 mickParticipant Looks just like my favorite prostate massager. September 9, 2013 at 2:08 pm in reply to: Here, have a new fucking forum, you bastards #209205 mickParticipant Been trying to start a new thread for about 10 mins but just boots me back to the forum index when I submit it. Not sure if this is an issue your end or mine (i’m using WiFi in Costa) tried with Chrome and IE, both do the same…. August 9, 2013 at 2:07 am in reply to: Anyone seeing Muppets Most Wanted next Spring? #209005 mickParticipant I recently happened upon Muppet slash fiction… WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE?! August 6, 2013 at 9:53 am in reply to: What I did with my Saturday… #208968 mickParticipant No robots to befriend so they accidentally launch you into space with Lea Thompson like in SpaceCamp? :-( August 6, 2013 at 9:46 am in reply to: Doctor number 12 incoming Sunday #208967 mickParticipant Peter Capaldi and Peter Davidson didn’t look very far away at all age wise which tickled me a little. Very excited, I do hope he plays it dark and moody. June 10, 2013 at 1:43 am in reply to: Does anyone still own an Atari? #208177 mickParticipant Here’s mine: I have a few other Atari systems laying about the place but generally I only keep the 2600 set up all the time. May 21, 2013 at 10:44 pm in reply to: Jonny C #207938 mickParticipant One of the more mundane tasks I perform at the end of my working day is filing off any abuse reports with online gamer’s Service providers, for breaches of their ISP’s T&Cs and FUPs for behaviour not a million miles from that displayed here on the G&T forum recently. With the many less tolerant ISPs that tends to result in the complete removal of the offender’s internet services. Just randomly chucking that out there. May 17, 2013 at 8:59 am in reply to: Sebby P #207472 mickParticipant May 6, 2013 at 7:17 pm in reply to: Dimension Jump XVII #207136 mickParticipant Was nice meeting the few of you I met for the first time, apologies if you were one of the ones I verbally farted at while steaming drunk on the Saturday night. April 19, 2013 at 2:10 am in reply to: Dimension Jump XVII #206978 mickParticipant Man, that’s the most unflattering picture of Cappsy I’ve ever seen… I feel the need to assure everyone he’s strangely attractive in person. April 13, 2013 at 12:27 am in reply to: Dimension Jump XVII #206946 mickParticipant The company I worked for selling classic car parts at events used to hire a mobile chip and pin machine (connects using mobile phone networks), was about £50 for a 4 day rental. I know fan-club funds are limited but may be worth doing for one DJ so you can weigh up how much more (if any) was made by having the capability there, as we found out doing events people are generally lazy and also far more likely to impulse buy a few things if they can whack it on a card ;-) Would also be useful for the auction, personally I’d be much more inclined to bid for all that lovely stuff I cant afford if I could whack it on the old monthly plastic… April 11, 2013 at 11:31 am in reply to: Dimension Jump XVII #206939 mickParticipant If anyone fancies buying me a drink coming over and saying hello, I’m the scruffy fat shit that sleeps in the bar. April 9, 2013 at 3:21 pm in reply to: RDX model workshop photo explosion. #206925 mickParticipant Lovely work, I used to pretty good at scratch-building but I’m far to blind and shakey handed now (symptoms of a true wanker) Strangely, given my life long penchant for all things sci-fi, I never went in for spacecraft though, mainly trains and ships. February 9, 2013 at 1:39 pm in reply to: Being Human axed #206149 mickParticipant I’ll have to go with redhead85 on this one, it wasn’t just a loss of the original cast though, some episodes were so unbelievably boring. It’s a VERY rare occurance that I switch off in the middle of something, regardless of how terrible it is, but the last series especially saw my attention wandering and I usually buggered off to do something else. An unfortunate end to what was a very good show. January 26, 2013 at 11:12 pm in reply to: CITV's 'Old Skool Weekend' #205941 mickParticipant My plasma likes to flick everything from my V+HD box into 16:9 regardless of which aspect setting I have it on. It drives me batshit insane. January 20, 2013 at 10:44 pm in reply to: TMWRNJ live recording 1998 #205870 mickParticipant I saw them on this tour at the Stafford Gatehouse Theatre so would very much love to see this, still have my poster and signed programme. They stayed and had drinks with everyone in the downstairs bar afterward. January 18, 2013 at 8:55 pm in reply to: CITV's 'Old Skool Weekend' #205858 mickParticipant Did they broadcast all this in 16:9 by the way? I’m never quite sure as when it comes to aspect ratios my viera does whatever the fuck it wants with them. January 18, 2013 at 8:53 pm in reply to: DEAR GANYMEDE & TITAN COMMUNITY #205857 mickParticipant Sorry, shouldn’t browse G&T while I’m taking communion. January 17, 2013 at 12:33 pm in reply to: DEAR GANYMEDE & TITAN COMMUNITY #205844 mickParticipant What that vicar needs is a good, hard, stiff cock right up his arse. January 17, 2013 at 12:17 pm in reply to: HMV RIP #205843 mickParticipant Their own on-line store was cheaper, sometimes considerably so, than their retail outlets. A while back Marillion released re-mastered double CD versions of all the classic pre-’89 albums, they we’re £18.99 each in HMV but £14.99 from HMV’s website. I got them elsewhere on-line around the same time for £7.99 a piece. They were an appalling business that simply failed to remain even vaguely competitive, and thought iPod accesories and Novelty headphones would save them, good riddance. As even my old man shops on-line now and he’s 82, I fully expect other overly pricey high street chains such as Argos to follow suit, and who the hell pays WH Smith’s prices for books?! January 11, 2013 at 12:29 pm in reply to: Tops and Bottoms #205750 mickParticipant I have to say, I’m pretty shocked to see Trojan in a few people’s bottom 10. January 10, 2013 at 12:25 am in reply to: Tops and Bottoms #205728 mickParticipant I think I may keep mine to myself… :-/ January 9, 2013 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf is Back on Netflix Streaming, but… #205723 mickParticipant >No one’s even thought about reprogramming me for nearly 15 years now. :/ The last time I did that it took a week to dry the mattress. January 6, 2013 at 3:17 pm in reply to: CITV's 'Old Skool Weekend' #205642 mickParticipant It’s worrying how much of it I already had on Tape or DVD. My 5 year old absolutely LOVED Finders Keepers. December 28, 2012 at 12:06 am in reply to: Gerry Anderson. #205514 mickParticipant His effects work is the only reason to watch ‘Journey to the Far Side of the Sun’. It’s a pretty terrible film but the model work is absolutely outstanding. Very sad loss indeed. December 22, 2012 at 5:41 pm in reply to: DEAR GANYMEDE & TITAN COMMUNITY #205419 mickParticipant A nice big satisfying shit. …oh sorry Norman was already mentioned. December 11, 2012 at 3:57 pm in reply to: Wizards Vs Aliens #205004 mickParticipant I watch is reasonably regularly with my lad if I’m not working, it’s pretty entertaining. Much prefer Young Dracula though. December 5, 2012 at 9:56 pm in reply to: Christmas Compilations? #204876 mickParticipant Alot of my picks are on Alex’s list! but here’s a few more of my favorites: Chris Squire’s Swiss Choir – Run With The Fox (its terrible but I love it) Blackmore’s Night – Christmas Eve Sarah McLachlan – River Jethro Tull – Last Man at the Party Tori Amos – Pink and Glitter John Anderson – Where Were You? November 24, 2012 at 4:47 pm in reply to: Dwarfcast Commentary Requests #204544 mickParticipant Hyperdrive. November 18, 2012 at 11:20 pm in reply to: A new PortsCenter Thread: Amiga A-Go-Go #204018 mickParticipant Give me a shout if you ever consider buying any other hardware Ben, may be something I just have laying around :) November 18, 2012 at 8:33 pm in reply to: SgtsmileyUK's Red Dwarf Game news, screenshots and videos as well as rabblements #203990 mickParticipant > fucking annoying cunt with nothing better to do ( abit like me really) now fuck off unless you have anything constructive to say? no? fuck off then. As someone who works in the games industry, runs a gaming website, and has a history in games design, 3D modelling and C programming, I may well have had something constructive to say, but as you’re clearly a complete gobshite I shall simply wish you well in your endeavours and give this thread a very wide berth. November 18, 2012 at 8:21 pm in reply to: A new PortsCenter Thread: Amiga A-Go-Go #203987 mickParticipant > shake? I prefer to dab lightly with a sheet of andrex, but that’s just how I roll. November 18, 2012 at 8:17 pm in reply to: SgtsmileyUK's Red Dwarf Game news, screenshots and videos as well as rabblements #203984 mickParticipant Should have probably started this before derailing and spamming another thread November 18, 2012 at 6:14 pm in reply to: A new PortsCenter Thread: Amiga A-Go-Go #203972 mickParticipant Why have one post when you can have five eh :-/ November 18, 2012 at 2:15 pm in reply to: A new PortsCenter Thread: Amiga A-Go-Go #203960 mickParticipant They’re scattered all over the place sadly :( On my main TV in the living room though I have: MegaDrive with MegaCD and 32X, Saturn, PSX, NES, Panasonic 3DO & original X-Box as they’re what I use most regularly. I dont have room for anything else there unless I ditch my Laserdisc and Betamax units for more console space haha. Anything more than that ^^ set up at one time just starts to look horribly cluttered. Computers as opposed to consoles are a massive ballache as obviously they need a lot of space, I tend to keep all those in storage and pull one out every now and again. November 18, 2012 at 12:32 pm in reply to: A new PortsCenter Thread: Amiga A-Go-Go #203957 mickParticipant Ouch! I hope that wasnt just a stock A1200 with WHDLoad and the complete library torrent on it, I’d have sorted you one out myself for a good chunk less than that. Of course if you bagged and accelerator and/or a scandoubler its about right… Enjoyed the video either way! I shall whack it up in various places ;-) And for shits and giggles here’s my old girl: November 16, 2012 at 12:03 pm in reply to: Dimension Jump XVII #203891 mickParticipant Like a pâté made from tarmac. November 16, 2012 at 10:33 am in reply to: Dimension Jump XVII #203884 mickParticipant Sleep in the bar with me! :-D November 15, 2012 at 11:22 am in reply to: The BBC #203840 mickParticipant November 15, 2012 at 11:14 am in reply to: GTA V #203837 mickParticipant I’ve not actually played any of the post-Vice City GTAs. November 13, 2012 at 12:03 am in reply to: New Site Discussion #203716 mickParticipant Sounds much like our PCs at work, we’re locked out from doing anything now (despite the fact I put all these PCs and the network up here together) so we have vastly varying versions of chrome, firefox and ie on all of them :-/ They even disabled the USB ports meaning we cant run browsers off jump drives, however they have not disabled the DVD drives so we can boot them into any number of portable Linux distributions for shenanigans :-D November 12, 2012 at 8:03 pm in reply to: The BBC #203702 mickParticipant > I nominate this thread… for toilet paper status? November 12, 2012 at 5:56 pm in reply to: The world loves a bastard. #203699 mickParticipant > An injection of Kochanski would sort that out perhaps? I’ll stick with an injection of smack if it comes down to that. November 12, 2012 at 5:43 pm in reply to: Old series fans take on X #203697 mickParticipant That was also the general consensus at work. November 11, 2012 at 9:34 pm in reply to: New series or Red Dwarf? #203681 mickParticipant Is that robot try to exterminate Leestar and Rimher? November 11, 2012 at 9:20 pm in reply to: Why Colin, Why? #203680 mickParticipant I was most amused that the ladies in my office all thought it was Christopher Biggins going in again. November 11, 2012 at 1:36 pm in reply to: New Site Discussion #203651 mickParticipant Wow, suprised to see that public computers are running versions of Firefox THAT old, some of them have pretty worrying security issues. Site displays perfectly on my Pentium II running Windows 98SE and Firexox 8 by the way: Author Replies Viewing 50 replies - 1 through 50 (of 617 total) 1 2 3 … 11 12 13
