March 26, 2009 at 8:13 pm in reply to: Phil – check your penis #94624 Mr FlibbleParticipant I enjoyed that. A few first week troubles, but shaping up to be another great show. March 25, 2009 at 8:47 pm in reply to: RED DWARF IN RADIOTIMES NEXT WEEK! #94566 Mr FlibbleParticipant Double post. March 25, 2009 at 8:46 pm in reply to: RED DWARF IN RADIOTIMES NEXT WEEK! #94565 Mr FlibbleParticipant Oh. I can on my Drupal. March 25, 2009 at 8:38 pm in reply to: RED DWARF IN RADIOTIMES NEXT WEEK! #94563 Mr FlibbleParticipant Can’t you promote forum posts to the front page? March 25, 2009 at 8:23 pm in reply to: RED DWARF IN RADIOTIMES NEXT WEEK! #94560 Mr FlibbleParticipant Carbug’s key in Kryten’s hand! March 25, 2009 at 6:38 pm in reply to: Ooh, a trailer :) #94556 Mr FlibbleParticipant The thing is though – why? It’s not even conceivably like normal Dwarf. March 24, 2009 at 3:27 pm in reply to: Latter-day Simpsons episodes that DON’T totally suck #94523 Mr FlibbleParticipant I’ve been watching 3, 4, 5 and now 6 again as a result of this thread. 3 is almost universally funny, 4 comes very close, 5 and 6 just seem to tail off… March 24, 2009 at 10:01 am in reply to: I’ve just bought a DS… #94503 Mr FlibbleParticipant However apparently it’s only 10 hours long, so I’m wondering whether to leave it for the plane when I go away in a few weeks or play it now. Are you allowed to play DS on the plane with their WiFi? March 23, 2009 at 9:25 pm in reply to: Series 2 #94474 Mr FlibbleParticipant I have a book about the remake I picked up for a quid somewhere. Both seasons are only 12.99 on Play – I’m sorely tempted. From what I remember it was weird, had lots of CGI, but rather good production values and Emilia Fox was hot. March 23, 2009 at 9:20 pm in reply to: I’ve just bought a DS… #94473 Mr FlibbleParticipant Ooh, GTA for the DS seems quite good, but I’ve not played much yet. March 23, 2009 at 8:32 pm in reply to: Series 2 #94470 Mr FlibbleParticipant but despite having more episodes than the remake it only lasted one season. Wow. That’s surprising. It’s like the oft-quoted 12 episodes of Fawlty Towers thing. March 23, 2009 at 4:52 pm in reply to: Craig Charles’s Blog and a Competition #94457 Mr FlibbleParticipant Ahhh, grumpy sod mode. March 23, 2009 at 12:36 pm in reply to: Moderator flaunting : PIMPING MY STUFF #94444 Mr FlibbleParticipant Dear Mr Patrick, Today I bought your comic from my local ASDA store which does not have any special cover SFX’s. Firstly, nice story, although I do wonder where the word “doofus” on page 5 came from. But aside from the chasing super heroes about, I think we’ve all been there. The art was also brilliant (especially the colouring in the classroom bit), although I realise that’s nothing to do with you. I am, however, disappointed to see that your magazine will be going up to ?2.50 as of the next issue. This is a somewhat inflation busting price rise, only mildly tempered by the free multi-blaster and target. Further more, I am disappointed that the “Web Shooter” you advertised on the front of your magazine does not, in fact, shoot webs but rather little plastic darts. Although this will no doubt keep our cats amused for some while, I do feel somewhat cheated that I will not be able to recreate my favourite scenes from the “Spider-man” Movie, such as stopping runaway trains. March 23, 2009 at 10:18 am in reply to: Series 2 #94432 Mr FlibbleParticipant I was never that keen on Nancy, to be honest. University Challenge is, however, one of the best episodes ever. March 23, 2009 at 9:38 am in reply to: Series 2 #94430 Mr FlibbleParticipant The original or the Reeves and Mortimer one? I never saw the original, but I liked the “new” one. March 22, 2009 at 4:20 pm in reply to: I’ve just bought a Slinky… #94394 Mr FlibbleParticipant Because it was easier for you to sneak in to than a 15? *Remembers the days of 12 year olds with acres of make up on coming up to Box Office trying to get into 15’s* March 22, 2009 at 1:02 pm in reply to: Series 2 #94385 Mr FlibbleParticipant I think it owes a lot to Rimmer really being the focus of the series. March 22, 2009 at 11:10 am in reply to: I’ve just bought a Slinky… #94378 Mr FlibbleParticipant Just off on a slight tangent – I seem to remember 1992?s Batman was the first movie with a 12 rating. Am I right? I was thirteen – and old enough – at the time, hence my remembering. Yep, and the first 12A was not Spider-man, but The Bourne Identity. I’m of a firm belief that 12A should have a lower age limit though, ever since I spent a couple of hours sat in front of some very distressed seven/eight year olds who had been taken to see Batman Begins in IMAX. March 22, 2009 at 11:05 am in reply to: I’ve just bought a Slinky… #94377 Mr FlibbleParticipant I know I researched 15 for something I filmed that had to conform to that rating, and found that the context bit goes away at that level – so a 15 can have someone on screen saying “fuck fuck fuck” constantly. March 22, 2009 at 10:30 am in reply to: I’ve just bought a Slinky… #94372 Mr FlibbleParticipant PGs aren’t allowed too much swearing though, are they? 12/12A you can pretty much do what you like it seems, but I’m sure PGs are pretty strict. March 21, 2009 at 6:25 pm in reply to: New banner #94350 Mr FlibbleParticipant I’ve been doing it for weeks. March 20, 2009 at 12:40 pm in reply to: Moderator flaunting : PIMPING MY STUFF #94292 Mr FlibbleParticipant Cool. I’ll have a look over the weekend then. March 20, 2009 at 8:21 am in reply to: Welcome Home Dave party at The Aigburth Arms #94274 Mr FlibbleParticipant Right now I have literally no idea what I?ll be doing over the Easter weekend. Which is such an odd feeling in the circumstances. Surely you’ll be here, watching us all argue about miniscule plot points and the Kryten “whine-o-meter”…? March 20, 2009 at 8:17 am in reply to: Moderator flaunting : PIMPING MY STUFF #94273 Mr FlibbleParticipant Sorry – just to clarify – if I wish to purchase said comic, I *am* looking in the comic section at the newsagents and not at Forbidden Planet, aren’t I? March 18, 2009 at 6:36 pm in reply to: Worst lines ever #94131 Mr FlibbleParticipant Actually, that says a lot, doesn’t it? We’ll happily sit here and go “A *White* Hole?” for 30 odd posts. We might even go “See ya in 10 minutes?” for an ironic laugh, but I’ve never heard anyone ever quote that. Robert forgot the lines, I told him not to worry and just to make it up as he knew the gist of it. Oh yeah. That’s why. March 18, 2009 at 6:34 pm in reply to: Worst lines ever #94130 Mr FlibbleParticipant ?So you haven?t heard about Kochanski and her ex-boyfriend Tim?? What news? March 18, 2009 at 12:40 pm in reply to: What’ll the ship be like? #94094 Mr FlibbleParticipant I think they’ll be using this in Back to Earth. March 17, 2009 at 8:13 pm in reply to: Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle #94003 Mr FlibbleParticipant The member of staff more than likely told you he wasn?t sure in the hope that you?d leave him alone. Can?t say I blame him to be honest. Actually he laughed. And never did find the book I wanted. March 17, 2009 at 1:12 pm in reply to: Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle #93983 Mr FlibbleParticipant I haven’t seen it yet, but plan to (although someone did mention the Moyles bashing stuff to me this morning as a fan of his). However, speaking of kids books, I was in Waterstones the other day. A Roald Dahl book (Matilda IIRC) was in the “New Books” section. I asked the member of staff who was helping me look for something how it could be a new book when he’s been dead for 15 years. He wasn’t very sure… March 15, 2009 at 5:31 pm in reply to: Back to Earth. Pre-Order at Play. #93889 Mr FlibbleParticipant Amazon don’t have a reputation for listening to publishing companies. March 15, 2009 at 5:29 pm in reply to: Do you remember that old Ganymede and Titan show from the 60s? #93888 Mr FlibbleParticipant That’s really cool! Did you make that yourself, or is there a website where one can do it? (If not, we need the PSD so we can *make* a website that lets you do it) March 15, 2009 at 10:34 am in reply to: Dave – Changed the synopsis? #93876 Mr FlibbleParticipant Was it an unreality bubble? March 13, 2009 at 10:11 pm in reply to: Craig Charles – Television and Movie Store on Saturday, April 18 from 10am Norwich #93822 Mr FlibbleParticipant I thought last time I went there Dixons was shut. Maybe that was Bury St Edmunds. March 13, 2009 at 6:45 pm in reply to: Craig Charles – Television and Movie Store on Saturday, April 18 from 10am Norwich #93817 Mr FlibbleParticipant ?So, Craig, what do you think of the pedestrianisation of Norwich city centre?? It’s mostly pedestrianised already and has been for years due to the many tiny streets and the like. March 13, 2009 at 6:39 pm in reply to: 20th Century Fox as you’re never heard it before. #93816 Mr FlibbleParticipant Ha! That’s the best thing ever! March 13, 2009 at 6:37 pm in reply to: The best headline ever? #93815 Mr FlibbleParticipant Seb is correct – that’s the best headline ever. March 12, 2009 at 7:14 pm in reply to: Wedding of the Decade? #93776 Mr FlibbleParticipant And the attention to detail in the Blue Room got them the iPhone contract, apparently. March 11, 2009 at 10:36 pm in reply to: 100 Albums You Couldn’t Live Without #93731 Mr FlibbleParticipant 32. Ben Folds Five ? Whatever and Ever Amen That one please. On repeat. With OAD played a little too fast. March 11, 2009 at 7:08 pm in reply to: Nice things to see #93728 Mr FlibbleParticipant And you can sell stuff there really fucking quickly, for more than on eBay and with less hassle and risk than on eBay. March 10, 2009 at 9:10 pm in reply to: New Merch #93606 Mr FlibbleParticipant My head knocker from whatever DVD has broken :( March 9, 2009 at 9:21 pm in reply to: FictionShed AudioDrama Podcasts to do a Red Dwarf one off. #93531 Mr FlibbleParticipant I find Red Dwarf a houmous show. March 9, 2009 at 12:39 pm in reply to: FictionShed AudioDrama Podcasts to do a Red Dwarf one off. #93484 Mr FlibbleParticipant Have you seen the Smooth squeezy jam? Squeezy jam was exciting enough, but the smooth stuff is like thick strawberry puree and is delicious. March 8, 2009 at 10:21 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf Animation #93446 Mr FlibbleParticipant They need someone to do Rimmer though, at fictionshed.com. I don’t know if anyone noticed that fictionshed.com are doing a Red Dwarf thing, and they need someone to do Rimmer. You can do it a couple of hours later than everyone else and post it to reddwarfforum.com, and then send it to the newspapers. Did I mention fictionshed.com? fictionshed.com. March 8, 2009 at 3:09 pm in reply to: Red Dwarf Animation #93400 Mr FlibbleParticipant lego7770, meet mobisodes; mobisodes, meet lego7770. March 8, 2009 at 1:34 pm in reply to: Hello, I’m new here #93391 Mr FlibbleParticipant Aside from America, is there a whole part of the internet that has missed irony and sarcasm? Is it because kids today watch crap American cartoons and kids shows which don’t bring them up with heavy sarcasm in their blood like the British stuff did? March 8, 2009 at 1:31 pm in reply to: FictionShed AudioDrama Podcasts to do a Red Dwarf one off. #93390 Mr FlibbleParticipant We don’t *like* fanfic round here! Or muffins! etc. March 7, 2009 at 6:59 pm in reply to: Tony Hawks in Back to Earth Specials? #93312 Mr FlibbleParticipant So why did Tony have nothing further to do with Red Dwarf after series 4, having been quite consistently involved up to that point? When did he stop doing the warm-up? I always assumed he was still doing it in Series III hence his appearance as his green suited character, but IV? March 6, 2009 at 6:36 pm in reply to: SFX: Back To Earth – Double Page Spread #93210 Mr FlibbleParticipant Chloe is raising a family now isn?t she? With the manager of Oasis? IMDB doesn’t have her listed as having done anything for 5 years. I forget what she’s said at DJs, but if she wants to take it easy, why not. March 6, 2009 at 6:33 pm in reply to: SFX: Back To Earth – Double Page Spread #93207 Mr FlibbleParticipant Kochanski dies and Lister wants to bury her on Earth. In Richmond.
