I checked the site between 10am and 1pm on Friday (can’t remember when) and it was down with the custom 404 page. It was up later in the day though – I was at work at 5pm, so it must have been around before then, even if it broke again later. We’re on opposite sides of the Atlantic, so it’s unlikely to both be “just us”. March 17, 2008 at 11:08 pm in reply to: “The [official website]’s kerploding!” #121745 Mr FlibbleParticipant It was just your customized 404 page when I looked at it, Andrew. Looked like someone had just not uploaded the front page. March 17, 2008 at 2:34 am in reply to: “The [official website]’s kerploding!” #121730 Mr FlibbleParticipant Fuck Leela and Fry. We all know who the star is. Scruffy? Who’s he? (I was so hoping someone would say Scruffy…) March 16, 2008 at 1:22 pm in reply to: “The [official website]’s kerploding!” #121719 Mr FlibbleParticipant Fuck Leela and Fry. We all know who the star is. March 16, 2008 at 3:48 am in reply to: “The [official website]’s kerploding!” #121716 Mr FlibbleParticipant Does anyone else always get intense joy at seeing Bender, arms raised it the air, shouting Woo!? It’s possibly one of the happiest things on TV. March 10, 2008 at 1:54 pm in reply to: Hyperdrive #121499 Mr FlibbleParticipant How about “Anything can happen in the next half hour – cause you’ll only watch five minutes”? March 7, 2008 at 2:08 am in reply to: My artwork #121307 Mr FlibbleParticipant If you submit them to the fanclub, it’ll be the best they’ve had in years. Is the Lister one Mr Flibble? March 6, 2008 at 12:02 pm in reply to: Three Words #121249 Mr FlibbleParticipant A *white* hole? March 4, 2008 at 11:58 pm in reply to: What do you prefer to Red Dwarf? #121147 Mr FlibbleParticipant I really like Red Dwarf, but in recent years have come to love Futurama (late 3-4) better, Yes Minster, Fawlty Towers… February 29, 2008 at 2:09 am in reply to: WHAT THE FUCKING HELL IS HAPPENING TO THIS FUCKING FORUM #120986 Mr FlibbleParticipant Andrew: I thought your “quote” was funny. That probably says more about me though… February 27, 2008 at 1:50 am in reply to: Earthquake! #120881 Mr FlibbleParticipant Never felt the aftershock but did feel the original quake. We had one in August in Manchester, so I’m used to it now… I’m not sure scary is the word – let’s face it, it was only a minor tremor – it’s just a bit confusing as you think “hmm, why is my screen not staying still” and then wonder if it might be an earthquake. February 26, 2008 at 10:52 am in reply to: Some instructional diagrams #120841 Mr FlibbleParticipant Ben – I didn’t mean from your picture, I mean in the episode. Ian – Sainsbury’s muffins are packaged in plain cases. February 26, 2008 at 2:13 am in reply to: Some instructional diagrams #120838 Mr FlibbleParticipant The whole Tesco’s Muffin just annoys me. I mean how much effort would it have taken to get one without that on? http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shoppingandservices/storelocator/store.htm?id=2663 1.4 miles away. February 25, 2008 at 11:25 am in reply to: Some instructional diagrams #120786 Mr FlibbleParticipant Is that a blueberry muffin in his pocket? Like the ones Martha used to make? February 25, 2008 at 11:23 am in reply to: “new post” problems #120785 Mr FlibbleParticipant Yes. I just look for the word “new” in the comment header though. February 21, 2008 at 2:19 am in reply to: Least favourite Red Dwarf episode? #120668 Mr FlibbleParticipant BT were using Timeslides to promote BT Vision in the Arndale Centre today. Some sad git was stood there watching it. If I go through there tomorrow and they’re doing the same, I’ll tell them to choose a better episode (although I quite like it). February 20, 2008 at 3:29 am in reply to: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull #120634 Mr FlibbleParticipant It was never going to be one of the highest grossing films of the last 10 years. IIRC it’s being predicted to do OK, but it’s not going to be the highest grossing of the year by a long way. February 20, 2008 at 1:50 am in reply to: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull #120632 Mr FlibbleParticipant The music editing on that trailer was fucking awful, too. Ditto the song at the beginning of the 27 Dresses trailer. February 19, 2008 at 12:44 pm in reply to: Official Changes #120616 Mr FlibbleParticipant Yes. But that doesn’t suit any conspiracy theory :P February 19, 2008 at 1:49 am in reply to: Official Changes #120609 Mr FlibbleParticipant If I was bored I might point out you said the current site which implies there is a future one. But I’m not, so I won’t. February 19, 2008 at 12:36 am in reply to: Official Changes #120607 Mr FlibbleParticipant IIRC it’s always said that on standalone pages. February 16, 2008 at 5:48 pm in reply to: Your toastie combinations #120568 Mr FlibbleParticipant How about a Cheese and Ham Breville? February 16, 2008 at 4:08 am in reply to: Dark Ages on DVD #120560 Mr FlibbleParticipant The only other thing that springs to mind is Fawlty Towers – and I can recite that in my sleep too. I got into some convoluted joke the other day about the “Sorry, a lot of the British cars have steering wheels” line. First ep: Blue, the day after it was shown the first time. February 16, 2008 at 4:05 am in reply to: Mighty Boosh Movie (taps foot, taps foot, taps foot) #120559 Mr FlibbleParticipant I’m wiggling my arse as I type this. February 15, 2008 at 2:00 am in reply to: Mighty Boosh Movie (taps foot, taps foot, taps foot) #120523 Mr FlibbleParticipant Well maybe Doug should have gone for the $30m treatment then. Nah sod it, go the whole hog, $100m! This would cover Danny?s suits for the film at least. DOUG: (into phone) Hello? (pause) (in disbelief) How much? DUKE: (into phone) Sixty million dollars. I mean, do you want it all, or would something less be OK? DOUG: (into phone) Well, erm, yeah, no, we could probably make a great film for around twenty million. But thinking about it, maybe sixty million could be the way to go. (pause) Yeah, no, sixty million is definitely the way to go. February 13, 2008 at 1:53 am in reply to: Ha… THIS made me laugh! OUT LOUD! #120420 Mr FlibbleParticipant The Big Breakfast was stupendous. It did lose something once Chris and Gaby had both left, […] but at its best, it was wonderfully made telly, that had a fun about it that most programmes don?t even attempt to do any more. I was thinking about this the other day – things like Going Live used to be just fun programmes – you’d often hear the crew laughing with everyone else, no-one really took it that seriously and it was just a way to pass a couple of hours. You just don’t get that these days, and it’s truly missed… February 12, 2008 at 1:52 am in reply to: BAFTA #120366 Mr FlibbleParticipant Can I just point out that Juno is great? February 5, 2008 at 2:01 pm in reply to: Who Series Four Cinema Trailer #120089 Mr FlibbleParticipant thomasaevans – your cinema isn’t doing it properly then. The Chris Moyles/Doctor Who is meant to start 5 minutes before the advertised start time, with the Carlton Screen ident being the official start of the programme. But the headers are still running at 25-30 mins after this, including the 5 or 6 mentions of ODEON… Cloverfield is seriously fucking people up big time though. At my cinema we’d all kind of like to see it in IMAX, just to see if anyone was still left at the end… January 23, 2008 at 12:50 pm in reply to: Seeing The Dark Knight will be so weird now, and so sad. #119628 Mr FlibbleParticipant Indeed – the news came through at work late last night (so many people called up to tell us!) and we were all shocked and gutted. He was clearly just entering the peak of his career – from what I’ve seen of it, his portrayal of the Joker is excellent – and it’s a pity he won’t be around to entertain us more. January 13, 2008 at 7:39 pm in reply to: Creaky Plots #119357 Mr FlibbleParticipant You mean the ship hasn’t corroded and fallen apart in three million years? January 8, 2008 at 2:06 am in reply to: Anyone living in London? #119140 Mr FlibbleParticipant Although they’re a bit OTT. January 8, 2008 at 2:04 am in reply to: Anyone living in London? #119139 Mr FlibbleParticipant I quite like those ads. There’s been some really good and accurate ads around highlighting disabilities recently. January 8, 2008 at 1:55 am in reply to: Learning Japanese… #119138 Mr FlibbleParticipant Some (very clever) friends of mine did a module at university, and they found it exceptionally hard. Not trying to put you off, just trying to give you an idea of how much of a bastard it is. January 6, 2008 at 11:35 am in reply to: Anyone living in London? #119038 Mr FlibbleParticipant I think the better advice is to just not go down Oxford Street at all. December 28, 2007 at 2:51 am in reply to: Stephen Serafinowicz #118812 Mr FlibbleParticipant Ah well then. I can :) December 26, 2007 at 1:19 pm in reply to: Voyage of the Damned #118738 Mr FlibbleParticipant I don’t like Who normally, but this was really good. Except that the real Titanic didn’t have any binoculars… December 26, 2007 at 11:34 am in reply to: OH MY CHRIST #118730 Mr FlibbleParticipant It’s a Wonderful Life never made it our way this year, but I saw it on the big screen the other year. It’s an excellent film. December 18, 2007 at 12:44 am in reply to: Beowulf… 3d and not 3d #118617 Mr FlibbleParticipant Cool. Who cares about double pay when Dark Knight’s in town? December 18, 2007 at 12:00 am in reply to: Beowulf… 3d and not 3d #118615 Mr FlibbleParticipant I’m waiting for the Dark Knight preview at the beginning of I Am Legend. I knew there was a perk to working Boxing Day! But, yes – Sweeney Todd did look good from the trailer, so I’m glad it’s similarly good as a film. December 17, 2007 at 1:18 am in reply to: Beowulf… 3d and not 3d #118577 Mr FlibbleParticipant Actually, having seen it at the start of November, I have to say that while the 3D wasn?t particular ?in your face? it was very well done. Well, each to his own. I suppose if you don’t see proper 3D very often it might look quite good. I’m not at all a fan of 3D “for the sake of it”, but I just think Nightmare lacks… well, any sort of point to being in 3D. December 16, 2007 at 9:26 am in reply to: Beowulf… 3d and not 3d #118548 Mr FlibbleParticipant I?m looking forward to going to see Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D. Don’t get your hopes up. It’s not that good – the 3D was added afterwards and is largely unnoticeable. December 15, 2007 at 2:04 pm in reply to: Beowulf… 3d and not 3d #118513 Mr FlibbleParticipant It’s great in IMAX. Looks really nice. Plus the sound is always a plus with the IMAX. Feel your seat shaking! Nothing like Superman Returns, which as a “let’s add the 3D in later” type film, looked pretty awful – this is proper monster ripping 40 foot tall naked Angelina fun. If you’re ever up in Manchester, Andrew, give me a shout and I’ll get you in. (I work at the Manchester IMAX) I’m just waiting for Dark Knight. That’s going to be amazing. December 9, 2007 at 10:42 am in reply to: New St Trinians movie… #126244 Mr FlibbleParticipant But, Seb, I think that’s the point of the film. It’s not trying to be anything clever. December 7, 2007 at 11:37 pm in reply to: New St Trinians movie… #126216 Mr FlibbleParticipant I’ll be going to see it… December 5, 2007 at 11:23 pm in reply to: “Dangerous” Dan McGrew #126180 Mr FlibbleParticipant They’ve been well known to use obscure literary references before… November 12, 2007 at 1:57 am in reply to: Bodysnatchers Is Here ** Semi – Spoiler ** #125630 Mr FlibbleParticipant Excellent. Well done for getting your review up before G&T. November 7, 2007 at 1:31 pm in reply to: Anyone get the feeling they were hired for there jobs just to look at? #125536 Mr FlibbleParticipant Apparently I was picked because the interviewer liked my name, and spent the next few hours saying it out loud. November 3, 2007 at 1:21 pm in reply to: Bodysnatcher advert on Empire Online #125456 Mr FlibbleParticipant You have a rubbish Firefox. Indeed. But it’s updated to 2.0.0.9 now, so that’s OK.
