Well this 22 year old probably has a controversial entry or four in his top 10…

    Backwards
    Out of Time
    Back to Reality
    Krytie TV
    Gunmen of the Apocalypse
    Tikka to Ride
    Fathers and Suns
    Dimension Jump
    Cassandra
    Thanks for the Memory

While I’m here I might as well tell an anecdote from a few months ago. I was in work and speaking to a guy who was a couple of years younger than me. Red Dwarf came up in conversation (I didn’t bring it up, I swear) and I mentioned how much I liked it. He looked at me and smiled and said “D’you know who I like…”. I already knew the answer before he said it. “…Dwayne Dibbley”.

I’d like to know what happens when there are over 9000 signatures.

The government have to debate it in the House of Commons.

Star Trek TNG is rather amusing. Shades of Grey really is that bad. In fact it is probably overrated on that chart.

To be fair on Rufus Hound, he is a big fan who was just a bit nervous to be there when they were going to announce the next Doctor. He did a blog about it apologising for “Peter Eccleston”.

I was going to make an hilarious satire of all the people criticising it being a “white male” but they are not with dwelling on when this is such a fantastic choice.

The Masks and Uncle Simon. Can’t really explain why. They’re two of the simplest Twilight Zone episodes but the writing really pushes them above the rest for me.

    I own this.

Behind Rod Serling, he was easily my favourite on The Twilight Zone. He written so many legendary episodes including what is probably the most well known Twilight Zone episode, Nightmare at 20,000 Feet.

I’d say Serling’s Masks and Uncle Simon are my favourite episodes but Matheson sure did write a great load of classics.

Shame he only made on contribution to Star Trek TOS. The Enemy Within is brilliant.

Incidentally, I’ve still not seen any of Season 4 of Twilight Zone. I’ve got the Blu-Ray but not gotten round to it yet. Does the 45 minute episode format work well? I’ve looked at the synopsis of each episode and The Bard looks like the most ahead of its time idea I’ve ever seen. Shakespeare having to contend with advertising executives. I just hope that episode lives up to how I see it in my head.

    >I did, and as i said before who?

The tone I’m getting here, and correct me if I’m wrong as it is hard to gauge across the typed word, is that you don’t know who he is and therefore don’t care and feel the need to prance about it in a thread dedicated to his memory. If you want to learn who he is then you could either read the first post in this thread which goes through many of his achievements or you could Google his name. You are being incredibly disrespectful and I hope it isn’t intentional.

What don’t people get about that? He goes home and asks Maeby to help him get his rocks off (the literal rocks he was wearing) and that made the police think he was a paedophile because of the way he worded it. As you say, it is a natural extension of the joke about the way he speaks. I thought it was one of the funniest moments this season.

That…seems a little unfair. Unless somebody is dismissing it outright and saying the entire season isn’t worth watching due to their being underwhelmed by some early ones, I don’t think a comment that suggests they’re still feeling it out deserves to be ignored. Folks are entitled to opinions.

Of course folks are entitled to their opinions. I’m just warning that they shouldn’t be taken on-board because you need to have seen the whole thing (or at least to the middle of the season) to appreciate how brilliant the intricate writing is and to appreciate many of the jokes. Including appreciating everything in the first few episodes.

As I’ve said, I think the first few episodes are a little lacklustre as AD goes at first, but they are significantly improved with the hindsight of later episodes. This is why I think it is better to read a review of somebody who has seen the whole thing rather than get the wrong impression of the whole.

I should point out, as now that I re-read what I’ve written right after yours, my comment was not a slight on what you written just before. It was a comment on some negative comments I’ve seen from people who are only talking of the first few episodes. I’d have written exactly the same as you after the first 3 or 4 episodes. After the second episode I really was starting to wonder whether they had made a big mistake.

The first few episodes seem a little lacklustre at first. The first few episodes are made better by watching the later episodes. Comments by people who haven’t seen all 15 episodes should be ignored as you need to watch the whole thing to appreciate it.

Once you get to episode 5 (the first Tobias episode) it is back to its best.

Hoping for a similar styled season 5 rather than a movie. Much rather have another big 8 hour story.

I somehow found Pecospete’s twitter page. Highlights include:
    – Saying “Another gun cunt!” to Ricky Gervais.
    – In response to Jeremy Clarkson asking if people knew who a woman was in a picture with him, Pecos said “That’s my Mom!”

I was also reminded of the sgtsmiley affair from the recent escapade. I went back and had a read through the topic. In my current cough ridden state, a minute of laughter equals several minutes of coughing. This comment, which is in response to Pecos posting responses to dodgelister, made me cough for about ten minutes:

Now he’s gone, I have to say I was finding it initially fun but the second he brought someone who I love dearly into it when they’re not here to defend themselves, it was just too low for me. Sad.

He was a troll. He just wanted a rise out of people. By giving a rise, you are letting them win.

Best thing to do in my experience is to post random bullshit without reading their comments. It means they read through all of your random bullshit in order to respond and try and get a rise out of you whilst you just get to post any random bullshit that comes to mind.

Trolls can’t be bargained with. Trolls can’t be reasoned with. They don’t feel anything. All you can do is waste their time by making them read nonsense which they can’t really respond to.

Though the achievements I posted are true. I have seen Titanic in two different countries and I have ridden a camel.
