I had some tomato soup for tea. For some reason I had tomato soup on my mind.

Im not sure if I have the will to edit together a Smeg Ups episode (even though there’s hours worth to choose from), but if I do then I seem to recall that we did actually start doing that for a while.

I think you did a sentence but had to stop because I was laughing so much.

There was your suggestion that all of Si’s emails be read in the voice of Taiwan Tony for example.

That was a brilliant suggestion. It still is a brilliant suggestion. It is what the listeners want.

    Is that fanny?

I’ve said much worse. Which has mercifully been cut out.

Then again, Alex has mentioned a Smeg Ups episode. Oh no…

Yeah, best post as much as you can here. In fact, it is best to set yourself a target of 50 posts per day and 10 new topics per day. The admin may make out that they hate you and are going to ban you but that is just their way of showing their appreciation of contributing to the community.

Kryten buys a new hat and Rimmer is jealous. Meanwhile, Cat loses his favourite needle in a bale of hay and has to try and find it.

    Classic Quotes:
Lister: Cat, you’re looking for a needle in a haystack.

    Lister: Where is me curry?

Rimmer: I really like Kryten’s new hat.

    Lister: Smeg head.

This sauce on the pasta I’m eating tastes like tomato soup. It seems too thick to be tomato soup but I’m still not convinced.

Kinda ironic of Seb saying that considering he just babbles on during the Dwarfcasts, deliberately over people using the excuse that he can’t hear etc. Bollocks.

What’s your excuse for talking shit?

Episode 1: Kryten is arrested when he is mistaken for a serial killer. After he is exonerated, Rimmer, Lister, and he return to Red Dwarf.

Episode 2: Simulant television executives approach Rimmer and Lister to write a pilot for a sitcom. Hogey the Roguey begins to stalk both Rimmer and Kryten.

Episode 3: Cat uses Kryten as his witness when the former refuses to pay for a speeding ticket. In court, they make up a story of why he was he going that fast: Cat was trying to stop Kryten from killing himself because he didn’t get a job as a banker.

Episode 4: Rimmer’s parents come to Red Dwarf to see a medi-bot for the back pain of Rimmer’s father. Morty Rimmer thinks his wallet has been stolen at the medi-bot’s. So he leaves without hearing the diagnosis. Rimmer is asked to explain to his parents why he does not wear the watch they gave him. Lister has an unsuccessful plan to hold out for more money for their simulant pilot (13,000 all together).

Episode 5: Rimmer tries to buy his watch back from Uncle Frank, who found it in the garbage, having been thrown there by Rimmer. Lister tries to resurrect the fledgling simulant deal, while Kochanski plans a break up from her psychotherapist with Kryten’s help. Lister gets the pilot back, by accepting less money (8,000).

Episode 6: Rimmer agrees to visit a boy who lives in a plastic bubble on the way to Holly’s parents’ cabin. Rimmer loses his way, though, and Kochanski, Lister, and Holly visit the boy instead. Kryten goes to the cabin with Rimmer’s ex-girlfriend, resulting in a fire

They had no problem doing it on VII & VIII for example, even a Doctor Who episode which had a Beatles song. Stop being such a bunghole.

Yet they had problems clearing music for:
    Red Dwarf: Series V
Doctor Who: Revelation of the Daleks

It is almost as if it is a complicated issue and not easily sorted out.

Also, stop being such a testicle.

I’ve already ordered the Blu-Ray from HMV. If they did a steel book of that then I might consider it but with the DVD having a reverse side which matches Series 1-VIII, I’ll be getting the normal version if the DVD on day of release.

Classic Doctor Who commentaries are always passed through the BBFC these days, they weren’t up until around 2007-8. Possibly a choice by BBC Worldwide to pass them to er on the side of caution.

If we weren’t going to get a commentary on the RDX DVD then they would probably have told us in order to not get our hopes up. As they haven’t said anything in a while then they are either sure that a commentary is happening or they are still working to try and make it happen.

I imagine that 3-4 weeks is enough time to record the commentary, pass it on the BBFC and master the DVD/BR.

I have a strong recollection of one of the early DVD articles have a picture of Starbug flying over a DVD.

Actually, as I was typing that I found it: http://www.reddwarf.co.uk/news/2002/06/14/digital-delight/

Don’t know why I had such a strong memory of that.
