RIGHT! WORKING! 100% LIVE AND KICKING!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OimSKzG90JI&feature=youtu.be

Powers that be – please re-edit the link in first post. Fucking youtube!

[thomasaevans]

Yeah I think the god’s don’t want me to share this unsightly piece of crap. I’m giving It another go now, problem Is my upload speed Is a fucking joke thanks to Sky Broadband.

[thomasaevans]

Rare Vanessa Feltz interview with Bobby and Norm 99

[thomasaevans]

Ok you’ve twisted my arm…. uploading now (even done a nice bit on the front).

[thomasaevans]

Yeah after I posted It, i realised It’s that black and white skit isn’t It. Still – I’m mega impressed that they’ve bothered to put them on, when they could of just repackaged the same discs again.

[thomasaevans]

Sorry to completley side-line this, but just saw Men Behaving Badly – Jingle Balls on bbfc AGAIN.

HOWEVER – It includes two NEW extra’s which I’m rather fucking excited about:

Runtime Component title
00:06:55:17 THE NAUGHTY BOYS (THE LOST PILOT)
00:11:03:15 MEN BEHAVING BADLY (KYLIE)

http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AVV294984/

Im guessing for THIS:

http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/35000788/0/Men-Behaving-Badly-The-Complete-Collection/ListingDetails.html

Hopefully, they can put the widescreen masters of the last series on instead of the shitty cropped ones we had in the previous release. If they could get Comedy Connections on it too….. MAN this is a surprise release!

ANYWAY back to Dwarf…

[thomasaevans]

Fathers and Suns just got passed as PG:

http://www.bbfc.co.uk/AVV293061/

[thomasaevans]

Excellent! Now I should get round to uploading the (what im guessing Is fairly rare) Norm and Llew interview with Vanessa Feltz from the day of VIII’s first broadcast. Horrendous!

[thomasaevans]

Yeah the 100hz/200hz motionflow does NOTHING that it’s intended for frankly… I suppose the exception may be football. It does help watching football. So does the ‘off’ button.

[thomasaevans]

Seriously not LOVING the seventh series as far. Mercy episode was the best out of the four.

Fate that Red Dwarf takes over weekly sci-fi after the DW finale.

Fate.

[thomasaevans]

I wish I could video It to show you the difference, but It really does completely remove the filmic look.

Tell you what though – watching films in this mode makes EVERYTHING look like ‘Public Enemy’, or indeed the soon to be released ‘The hobbit’.

[thomasaevans]

OH – 12 minutes of Smeg Ups confirmed.

[thomasaevans]

Wishlist –

Audio Commentary
Documentary (Confirmed)
Deleted Scenes (Confirmed)
Smeg Ups
Model Shots
Music Cues
Trailers, TV Spots and Station Idents

….funny – since the documentary Is so hefty, I think that’s all I want.

[thomasaevans]

Yup I had two – and I have the letters somewhere. I’ll dig them out!

[thomasaevans]

Oh Si your such a gentleman :D

[thomasaevans]

Well… I never saw Blade Runner before watching Back To Earth – yet I have always thought It to be excellent.

Having watched Blade Runner since, yeah I felt I enjoyed It more so. But I’ve never swayed from It, I always thought It was excellent, and I’m rather gutted to find that nearly ALL my friends who like Red Dwarf detest Back To Earth with a passion – So much so, I’ve literally had to fight tooth and nail to persuade them to watch the new series, constantly getting ‘If It’s like the last one, I wont fucking bother’ thrown back In my face.

Back To Earth – FAR better than It’s made out to be. I love It.

[thomasaevans]

Howard Burden Is the costume designer!

[thomasaevans]

Here too:

[thomasaevans]

Scroll down to find ‘RD?’.

[thomasaevans]

I second the unfinished Launch bay. Im such a child!!! OMG It’s just AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

[thomasaevans]

Holy Fuck they’re fantastic! Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!! :D

I love photo’s. I pray for stuff like this on TOS every week.

That’s really cheered me up after an absolute cunt of a day!

[thomasaevans]

Well I didn’t actually laugh with my mouth. Interesting though. Undecided.

GOD doesn’t Lyndhurst look old! Even since the Fools & Horses Doc…

[thomasaevans]

I’ll second David Haig. Terrific actor.

[thomasaevans]

And I saw the Birds of a Feather stage show In Cardiff recently – and fuck the lot of you, It was hilarious. Way better than 75% of the bollocks spewing from the BBC.

[thomasaevans]

Im alone with Lacey turner then?

[thomasaevans]

Mind you – that’s probably something he’s recently re-done, as you might notice that the DVD music cue Is not an original source cue but the recording from the episode audio. Has the original been misplaced since It’s re-use in the remastering?

[thomasaevans]

WOW – what shit-ass version of the Red Dwarf theme was that?

[thomasaevans]

What time Is the Red Dwarf segment?

[thomasaevans]

No chance.

[thomasaevans]

So the interview – nothing of interest.

Except Holly’s back and Cat’s not In It anymore.

[thomasaevans]

What WAS said was ‘Torchwood Miracle Day was received fantastically”.

Clearly I was In some parallel universe at the time.

[thomasaevans]

THis has actually been described by Giant Freakin Robot as ‘Red Dwarf without the accents’:

Watch Space Guys In Space, It’s Like Red Dwarf Without The Accents

[thomasaevans]

You know – the render of the camera pan in the first few seconds of the blu-ray version Isn’t quite rite either.

Ben – see above.

EDIT – Making of with Mr Tyler:

[thomasaevans]

Nope – i’ve endlessly debated over this. Watch It. Two dead giveaways – 1)The rays of light are much more defined, 2) the reflection in the text.

Here’s the actual 97 version:

Here’s the blu-ray 97 version:

[thomasaevans]

What I find interesting Is that they went to the effort of recreating the 97 logo in HD on blu-ray. You can tell It’s a new ident, but It Is exactly the same as the 97 one. Why do that (what like… last year) for the sake of a few months, before releasing this? Still whatever – LOVE this.

I toyed with the idea of watching a film, but I’m in the middle of a rather good drama series that I’ve not seen before and which I’m not going to name for fear of spoilers. When I’m done, i’ll let you know.

Full press release from Universal:

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=87625

[thomasaevans]

They did use satellite imagery of the earth ‘at night’ around the world.

Incidentally, the music has been arranged by Brian Tyler.

[thomasaevans]

Swell! I an honoured! I just wish the ORIGINAL INTENT of finding the fittie actually happened.

Lesson learnt – Think It, say It. UNDER ALL CIRCUMSTANCES.

[thomasaevans]

Jon – Im welling up here. Im going back down to find her now.

[thomasaevans]

I think It’s time to set up ‘BeSmeggy.com’.

[thomasaevans]

Or perhaps – stopped you, rather than dropped you. Im now going to drop myself.

[thomasaevans]

In wales… we didn’t get ‘Only The Good’ on this date…

[thomasaevans]

Yup I have the recording of the Series 2 Remastered repeat with the VIII star wars spoof trailer on the end.

[thomasaevans]

Third.

[thomasaevans]

Ben your so right! I saw that Dana Is being released this year on top of that stone table (toward the end of the film).

[thomasaevans]

OOO Here’s a goodie – how about a Red Dwarf radio show – a new script performed by all the cast ‘with a live audience’ like the traditional BBC radio shows live for BBC Radio 4Extra?

[thomasaevans]

I would give up my liver for a collection of Red Dwarf figures and playsets – have you seen what Mattel are producing for the Ghostbusters films atm? Some of the best figures and accessories I’ve ever seen.

As far as the show? Another series running through the anniversary would be (probably impossible but) brilliant. The idea to rerecord the pilot Is superb – never gonna happen, but superb. Books and documentaries are always welcome.

[thomasaevans]

Well I hope you enjoy It – Im off to ‘The West Wing’.

[thomasaevans]

ori-STUDFARM – sooner rather than later. It’s one of those shows people love to spoil.

[thomasaevans]

Just finished the series now. That’s the second time I’ve watched all 8 seasons of 24. Mikhail’s last scene Is…. shocking! Forgot about that.

[thomasaevans]

….as In Red Dwarf 8. Not 24 8. Ah see… SPOOOOOOOOOKY!
