That awkward moment when someone confuses Chris Tucker for Chris Rock.

I am beyond mortified I made that mix up what a total Polaroid Head I am! (I seem to have a blind spot with Chrises I always mix up Chris Pine and Chris Pratt!) A total brain fart moment I am very sorry for this totally stupid mistake!

Iteresting choices Manbird here are mine
I actually enjoy the US pilots mainly for Craig Bierko and of course Robert, I did prefer Anthony Fusco as Rimmer in the second pilot over Chris Eigeman and found nothing outright wrong with Hinton Battle, Jane Leeves and Terry Farrell’s versions (Not a patch on the originals though)

Lister – John Leguizamo and a bit of an odd one but could be interesting Luis Guzman (I had a hard time with this one as no actors came to mind)

Rimmer – David Hyde Pierce (I can’t think of anyone other than Manbird’s suggestion)

Cat (Male) – Chris Rock (I have always thought his performance asRuby Rhod in The Fifth Element had moments rather like Cat)

Cat (Female) – Vanessa Williams (I liked the idea of making the cat a different character and could see her with the look used by Terry Farrell in the second pilot)

Kryten – Matt Frewer (I think he may be able to match Bobby’s facial gymnastics and would be used to being under the rubber mask after playing Max Headroom)

Holly (Male) – Bob Newhart (also a deadpan comic so would have played that well)

Holly (Female) – Jane Curtin (Dr. Mary Albright from 3rd Rock from the Sun, another deadpan comic who could match Hatties version well)

Interested to hear everyone else’s suggestions

    BAX IN THE RED

We discover Baxter and Killcrazy are still on board Red Dwarf and this bottle episode/backdoor pilot shows just what this wacky duo have been doing since the end of series VIII.
We are treated to that mad time Killcrazy fell in love with Archie the Cock but discovers Archie is in love with Baxter! (What a twist) , The time Baxter’s mum came to stay (played by Ricky Grover in a wig) with hilarious results!, The sidesplitting event of the pair falling out and dividing thier cell in two halves! with a guest appearance from Taiwan Tony the episode ends on a song

You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want to crack open some “OT BOVRIL”

The full footage of Rupert Bates from the chef’s exam in Balance of Power that plays in the background I think might be lost I seem to recall that’s the reason it wasn’t included on Bodysnatcher

I love seeing how everyone displays thier DVD collection in an odd way!
Here’s a pre-XI/XII photo of my Red Dwarf shelf

I used the custom “Series IX” cover just for uniformity and the rest are customs

That’s not so bad KyoSo this may be worse a really bad quality mock up I made of a Red Dwarf USA “classic style” DVD cover years ago is now the default image on Red Dwarf USA’s IMDB!

You’ll have to share the results Glen :)
There is another version of the Back to Earth cover out there without it being refered to as IX but I couldn’t find it (sure it used to be on here once upon a time) so had to make do.

Thank Pete :) It was an initially an error on Just The Smegs but then decided to make the text on the rest larger to fill up the blankness of the spines. I did notice the size inconsistency on the I – VIII spines so lets call it a “homage” haha

“Changes to the cover art reflect the difference between the UK and USA markets, but that doesn’t mean the team haven’t stayed close to the heart of Red Dwarf: “We wanted the US covers to show off the fun, quirky humour of the program, and felt that this will help the show to stand out in a video store on a crowded Sci-Fi shelf, where other Sci-Fi packaging is more serious. One of the things we love about the program is that, while the product itself is of a very high quality, it has a tongue-in-cheek irreverence and isn’t afraid to laugh at itself. We wanted the package to reflect that, so we tried to select images which were funny and make them a little more prominent on the package front.”

I often wondered why the US DVD covers use different photos of Rimmer and Lister but found this on an old TOS article

Someone on the Red Dwarf Posse Facebook group claims to have a copy of both parts on an old PC. Hopefully he can get them online so we can all see this odd part of Red Dwarf’s wilderness years. :)

I didn’t really use anything too special if I’m honest, just bits and bobs from around the house :). The frills were from some material we had in a sowing box and the bow was just cut off a cuddly toy from a pound shop. If you can find a small false eyelash and cut a piece off it does the job.

I did have trouble getting the neck section back on after gluing the frills to the neck base but with some jiggery-pokery it isn’t much of a hassle. :)

I loved Games World David Walliams was funnier on kids TV than in Little Britain (in my opinion) anyone else remember Incredible Games where he played the lift

I had a YouTube account full of loads of The Games Mistress segments from Games World it got deleted after I uploaded a couple of interveiws with Diane Youdale from the Sky1 Gladiators documentary
