    Probably been shared before but just randomly stumbled on this when browsing around on YouTube:

    The series 1 and 2 rendition obviously lends itself to this and comes across really well!

    Imagine if it got to the third verse and you thought “oh god here we go” and it turned out to be the extra Goodall lyrics from the DVD documentary. 

    The opening is very nice, but loses something from not having that lovely repeated piano moment.

    “Get real drunk / and ruin all my shoes!” is so much better than those gobshite lyrics from the so-called “full theme”. It’s stupid and ridiculous and actually on-theme for the song.

    Well, at least “spend my days in ultraviolet rays” fits? 1 new line out of 6.

    I guess if GNP/Howard Goodall didn’t make an extended version to begin with, it was bound to happen. Nature abhors a vacuum, and the Assorted TV Themes CD industry abhors a sub-1 minute theme song.
