I’ve always liked pot noodles so never really understood the jokes about them in Red Dwarf. Being 10 years old and watching Demons & Angels, when Lister was like “wow an edible pot noodle” I was just like yeah, that is one word to describe a pot noodle.

My mom had to eat a shitload of cheap ramen when she was on her own in her early 20s because it was a reliable way to eat without spending almost any money. She got so sick of it from the experience she never wants to eat that stuff again, and maybe something similar is the case for Rob and/or Doug.
