Perhaps it seemed that way due to the lack of laughter. Everyone was on pretty much the same performance level as past series, especially Bobby who was SPOT ON classic Kryten. April 11, 2009 at 7:41 pm #95919 thomasaevansParticipant I do feel that without having THIS MUCH pressure 14,15,16 years ago writing & acting some of the other series was obviously much more comfortable. Clearly If your a fan, you have expectations, you expect certain things and you will be angry If you dont get what you want. But I dont remember being this way when watching series 6, thinking ‘Rimmers character isnt right here’, ‘that model shot was shit’, etc. Mabey its just me. Generally, unless its truly shocking, I’ll accept whatever I see on screen for what It Is. April 11, 2009 at 7:47 pm #95922 Mr-StabbyParticipant I think it was Graham Linehan who wrote Ted and IT Crowd that said that creators of popular programmes should just not bother reading reviews, because at the end of the day the positive ones don’t help and the negative ones hurt. Plus actually listening to reviews and what other people think should change about the show can go hidiously wrong. See JNT from Doctor Who for details.
