You can combine gifs now! I’m interested how easy this is to use so I won’t explain in detail how to use it here, but basically you can put things you’ve made in a timeline, arrange it how you want and generate it into a new combined gif. You can change the text stroke width now! Insert wanking joke here. Gallery loads faster now? You tell me. Other things now! Find them all immediately. Either option sounds good. 👍 If you prefer it looking cleaner with just the 2 buttons and no footer, then I think the About button becoming like a hamburger menu containing the old footer links would work well too (only if that kind of thing is reasonable of course). A 2nd click isn’t too bad if it’s quick enough to get to. … I do realise this is becoming a pattern. June 8, 2023 at 6:00 pm #285600 Jonathan CappsKeymaster The entire extent of my UX ‘ability’ boils down to putting things behind menus! Anyway, I’ve added an episode list button next to about, which should be fine so long as you speak icon. June 8, 2023 at 6:09 pm #285601 Flap JackParticipant Ooh, excellent! June 19, 2023 at 12:26 pm #285834 International DebrisParticipant Anything going on with the Smegadrive today? My timeline gif has been on the red circle ‘making’ stage for about 15 minutes. It’s not any longer or more complex than a lot of them previously posted. June 19, 2023 at 12:40 pm #285835 International DebrisParticipant Ok, now it won’t load at all on my phone (where I’m making this), but is absolutely fine on my computer. Have I broken something? June 19, 2023 at 12:43 pm #285836 DaveParticipant June 19, 2023 at 3:43 pm #285839 International DebrisParticipant Same has now happened on my computer. Clearly the Smegadrive doesn’t want the world to see Part Four of my magnificent octopus. June 19, 2023 at 7:17 pm #285849 MoonlightParticipant Smegadrive is now so much fucking better than Frinkiac, where half the time you can’t even read the letters because of the outline being so thin. June 19, 2023 at 9:20 pm #285855 Jonathan CappsKeymaster I noticed some fuckery on our hosting at the weekend, so I’m assuming this is an extension of that. June 19, 2023 at 10:24 pm #285858 International DebrisParticipant Still doing it. It takes about an hour before I regain access to the server, and I’m able to make shorter gifs, but when I go for the long one again it just freezes up. Maybe it’s too big? How long do you have before the gifs time out and I have to start afresh? Edit: I’ve done it as two gifs and it works fine. I think it might be a size issue. I had this with the first one I tried to make last week. June 19, 2023 at 10:56 pm #285862 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Interesting. This might be a sign I should actually get decent hosting for this… June 20, 2023 at 6:57 pm #285910 MoonlightParticipant I find the site is on-and-off slow to load. Sometimes it’s fast, other times it takes a while. Also, can we move the arrow buttons that control the end point of the clip so that they don’t move every single time you change the size of the clip? If I’m trying to shrink a clip down very short I have to keep moving the mouse with each click when it would be better to just put those buttons somewhere where they don’t move so I can just click away until the size is correct. June 20, 2023 at 7:48 pm #285915 Jonathan CappsKeymaster MOVE THEM WHERE, KATY? June 21, 2023 at 12:08 am #285923 FormicaParticipant MOVE THEM WHERE, KATY? Put all four buttons above the frame list. Might require a bit of a label, but seeing as they kind of needed one anyways that’s not at all a bad thing. June 21, 2023 at 3:27 pm #285967 JenuallParticipant Have a bar/section that sits above the frames where buttons to trim/extend the frame selection could sit permanently? June 21, 2023 at 7:20 pm #285976 Future Producer of Series IX – aaaaany day nowParticipant Or why not just have the buttons for setting the start of the sequence to the far left, and the buttons for setting the end of the sequence at the far right? June 21, 2023 at 11:39 pm #285991 MoonlightParticipant MOVE THEM WHERE, KATY? I’d tell you, but first you have to spell my name correctly. June 22, 2023 at 12:00 am #285992 Jonathan CappsKeymaster I blame that Katydid person June 23, 2023 at 12:57 am #286031 MoonlightParticipant It’s not my fault there’s no insect called a Katiedid. June 23, 2023 at 3:54 am #286034 Captain BollocksParticipant Did I done it right? June 23, 2023 at 10:11 am #286042 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Art.
