I have to agree that the writers don’t really seem to have many explanations for half the things going on. I’ve thought this for a while and it doesn’t really bother me. AtA is enjoyable enough, especially the second series.

Sometimes A2A feels unnecessarily complicated as a result of trying to distinguish itself conceptually from LOM. I still think it’s one of the best shows on the BBC, though, greatly due to Phillip Glennister and Gene Hunt.
