(7 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago respectively.) https://books.apple.com/gb/audiobook/red-dwarf-infinity-welcomes-careful-drivers-unabridged/id283473605 https://books.apple.com/gb/audiobook/red-dwarf-better-than-life-unabridged/id402135443 This feels like a relatively big deal, because for 13-15 years, the digital versions have been exclusive to Audible. So if you’ve been holding out due to an understandable reluctance to give your money to Ian Amazon, now’s the moment you’ve been waiting for. They’re cheaper, too. IWCD is £5.99 compared to £12.99 (or £7.99 for one month’s membership / £6 for a third of a members-only 3 credit bundle), while BTL is £3.99 compared to £9.09. Still DRM-ed I assume, but I guess you can’t have everything. It says “Presented by Audible.co.uk”. Does anyone know what that means? Maybe these releases aren’t as free from Amazon as I thought. 2. It says that Better Than Life is in Danish?! It still says it’s read by Chris Barrie and the preview is in English, though, so apologies to any Danish-speaking fans who see this and get their hopes up. June 22, 2023 at 2:14 pm #286011 Jonathan CappsKeymaster I was sure there was a big re-release of these on iTunes etc about a million years ago. Did I dream that? June 22, 2023 at 2:33 pm #286012 Flap JackParticipant Possibly. I’ve searched “Red Dwarf” in the iTunes Store various times since becoming a fan, and this is the first time the unabridged audiobooks have come up. Hard to be totally sure though. Maybe it’s the Radio Show you’re remembering? June 22, 2023 at 2:58 pm #286013 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Ah yes, that will be it.
