I can say this, as cool as you think they are, DeLoreans are uncomfortable, horrible to drive, mind bogglingly slow (the european models would take about half an hour to get up to 88… down a hill) You may think they look cool, but once you have finger prints and crap all over the stainless bodywork, and make a twat of yourself getting out of one (there is NO dignified way to exit a DeLorean) the novelty wears off VERY quickly. You will also get sick and fucking tired of nobody paying any attention to it, as mos people (fucktards) mistake them for Volkswagon Sciroccos They’re a damn cheaper, faster and more comfortable DeLorean alternative though. It’s actually a shame that the BTTF films have become so popular again in the last few years, 7 or 8 years ago you could pick up a reasionable DMC12 under 5k, now your looking at 10k plus for a restoration project :( December 4, 2007 at 12:57 am #126135 Ben PaddonParticipant I seem to recall hearing somewhere that a limited run of 5,000 or so DeLoreans are going to be newly produced some time in the next few months. I can believe that there may still be 5000 of them sitting around in Ireland. The one thing you can always count on is the fact rust in an almost non existant problem as the DMC12 is made entirely of stainless steel and fibreglass. I would do anything to activate the time circuits and key in a date and time. For some reason I love the fact that ITV always cut the part where Doc keys in ’00:00 01 01 0000′ and says ‘or witness the birth of Christ!’. The world is officially fucked. Fucked. Don’t know why I typed that a second time. Guess I’m just that way out… April 19, 2008 at 11:33 pm #122598 PhilParticipant http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/chuck_berry_remembers_call April 20, 2008 at 12:26 am #122599 Danny StephensonKeymaster That’s awesome, I like that very much! April 20, 2008 at 12:27 am #122600 Danny StephensonKeymaster A question to you all. What date would you punch into the time circuits and why? HH:mm MM DD YYYY, (It’s an american built time circuit isn’t it?) April 20, 2008 at 2:55 am #122602 Danny StephensonKeymaster Excellent.
