Did he mean to say tube there? I’m not the biggest glue user but I don’t recall ever seeing it in a tub.

It definitely does come in tubs, especially when you’re buying it in larger volumes. Admittedly it’s not necessarily what most people might think of first as I suspect the vast majority of us only ever come near glue in the context of minor repair jobs in which case yeah you’d just have a little tube of it.
