You know when Cat tells the story of his “investigating feet,” right? And he starts with “once upon a time there was an old man,” yeah?

Did you always assume the old man was the Cat’s dad? The jelly brain who ate his own feet?

I don’t think the old man is the Cat priest. The Cat was telling this story to the Cat Priest when he was rudely interrupted by his death. He then starts the story over for Lister.
