… be up for a bit of a Dwarfy meet-up in say October/November time?

    Location: To be decided.
    Date: To be decided.
Underwear: To be worn on heads.

I don’t want to pick a specific date right now and instantly rule people out. I just think with no-DJ this year we should find it in ourselves to make the effort and have some kind of meet. I’ve posted this on TORDFC as a few of you will notice, but no need to limit it to just the fan club boards.

I’m in the wrong bloody country again. I’ll be back in England for two weeks in September (there might be a book-signing going on at the Waterstone’s in Luton, incidentally, but that’s still very much in the air) but then I’m back in the US until Christmas.

Speaking to Mick this weekend we think Brum – It’s central, easy to get too etc.

There’s also one of those Japanese style capsule hotels with cheap accomodation.

    Underwear: Not Geri Halliwell’s.

    Shall we?

    Oh!

I think we sort of did decide, only off-line where it’s off no use to anyone.

    Location: Brummingham
    Date: November 15th (or 8th)
Underwear: Bring your own. Take home someone elses.

Is there anywhere I can kip at someone’s house on the Friday Evening?

I’ll need somewhere to stay too so I don’t mind going halves and booking a travelodge in advance if anyone’s interested.

    Right.

We have a location: ‘The Newt’, Birmingham (underneath New Street Station)
We have a date: Saturday, November 8th.
    We have a time: 3pm.

    http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/44/440/Newt_and_Cucumber/Birmingham

It’s very, very easy to reach from New Street station. You head up the escalators as and bear left. Follow the route round as if you’re planning to exit out into Birmingham City Centre. ‘The Newt’ is underneath the top of the ramp (more or less). So either take the stairs down to your left or head down the ramp, back on yourself past the Shabba(Taxi)-ranks and come join.

It’s not the best pub in the world, but it’s largest, easy to get too and the food’s cheap. We can then stumble round Brum for the next few hours, or just stay in the pub and talk sci-fi, comedy… general geek.

I’ll create the bligatory facebook event shortly and post a link.

This is a conspiracy Karl, picking the one day of the entire year I could not possibly make it, days before I have a fortnight of work!

Well now. I was thinking I might linger in Brum-age and come see you on the Sunday. Maybe we could talk Matt, Curt and others into it too?
