TWENTICA: cultbox.co.uk 4/5 mymbuzz.com 3.5/5 thepalaceofwisdom.co.uk 8/10 epicstream.com 9/10 cultfix.co.uk 7/10 scifibulletin.com 7/10 Points: 38.5/50 (46/60) Average (out of 10): 7.67 SAMSARA: cultbox.co.uk 3/5 mymbuzz.com 3/5 thepalaceofwisdom.co.uk 8.5/10 epicstream.com 8/10 cultfix.co.uk 8/10 scifibulletin.com 7/10 Points: 37.5/50 (43.5/60) Average (out of 10): 7.25 GIVE & TAKE: cultbox.co.uk 5/5 mymbuzz.com 4/5 thepalaceofwisdom.co.uk 8.5/10 epicstream.com 8/10 cultfix.co.uk 9/10 scifibulletin.com 8/10 Points: 42.5/50 (51.5/60) Average (out of 10): 8.58 Creator Topic Viewing 14 replies - 1 through 14 (of 14 total) Author Replies October 12, 2016 at 9:15 pm #217062 JamesTCParticipant Rating’s gotta be four and a half chainsaws. October 12, 2016 at 11:39 pm #217071 Ben PaddonParticipant 32. October 16, 2016 at 3:16 pm #217178 noknowncureParticipant Five bags of popcorn and throw in a Skutter in a hard hat. October 23, 2016 at 2:22 pm #217380 Stephen AbootmanParticipant OFFICER RIMMER leaps into 2nd place overall in the average score rankings: cultbox.co.uk 4/5 mymbuzz.com 4/5 thepalaceofwisdom.co.uk 9/10 epicstream.com 9/10 cultfix.co.uk 8/10 scifibulletin.com 6/10 Points: 40/50 (48/60) Average (out of 10): 8.0 October 23, 2016 at 5:41 pm #217399 Pete Tranter’s SisterBlocked They’re all shit, I prefer We Are Klang. November 26, 2016 at 12:46 pm #218661 Stephen AbootmanParticipant Due to no popular demand, I’m going to finish this off: KRYSIS cultbox.co.uk 3/5 mymbuzz.com 4.5/5 thepalaceofwisdom.co.uk 8/10 epicstream.com 9/10 cultfix.co.uk 8/10 scifibulletin.com 7/10 Average (out of 10): 7.83 CAN OF WORMS: cultbox.co.uk 3/5 mymbuzz.com 3.5/5 thepalaceofwisdom.co.uk 9/10 epicstream.com 9/10 cultfix.co.uk 9/10 scifibulletin.com 7/10 Average (out of 10): 7.83 Therefore, the final table: 1/ Give and Take: 8.58 2/ Officer Rimmer: 8 3/ Can of Worms 7.83 4/ Krysis: 7.83 5/ Twentica: 7.67 6/ Samsara: 7.25 Now that is scientific fact. There’s no real evidence for it, but it is scientific fact. November 26, 2016 at 6:59 pm #218664 pfmParticipant Did any of those people actually watch Can of Worms? November 26, 2016 at 9:53 pm #218665 Nick RParticipant Maybe it’s like how Return of the King was the one that won all the Oscars: because it came last, it was seen as the one to represent the achievement of the whole series, despite the fact that THE FIRST WAS THE BEST. Yes, I did just compare Can of Worms to Return of the King. I’m not comparing Twentica to Fellowship, though. November 27, 2016 at 3:05 pm #218674 DaveParticipant Return Of The King was frequently criticised for having a succession of overlong, drawn-out endings, which probably disqualifies it from being a metaphor for anything in series XI. November 27, 2016 at 4:41 pm #218678 Phobos And DeimosBlocked The last half hour of Return of the King looks twee next to the hellishness of the Hobbit Quad-Heptalogy. November 27, 2016 at 6:44 pm #218681 MoonlightParticipant Looks like most people agree with me on Can of Worms than you lot. November 27, 2016 at 8:22 pm #218684 Stephen AbootmanParticipant I found among work colleagues, family and friends (all casual viewers) that everyone really liked it. My mate who went to a couple of the XII recordings with me thought that it was clearly the best of XI so definitely some vastly different viewpoints around. November 28, 2016 at 4:49 am #218688 MANI506Participant Top 5 episodes that made me go ‘what the fuck?’ at the end. 5. Officer Rimmer 4. Entangled 3. Emohawk – Polymorph 2 2. Back To Earth Part 2 1. Pete Part 1 I love The Lord Of The Rings movies but have you listened to the BBC radio version? November 29, 2016 at 12:31 am #218691 Lilly QueenParticipant When faced with a majority of the criticisms of Can of Worms (the strange plot decisions, too many ideas, missed opportunities) I can’t really disagree with any of that. But it did make me laugh, almost more then any other episode this year, and at the end of the day that’s about the most important thing a comedy show can do, I think.
