  • It was wonderful, as interesting as his past ones were! I rarely watch TV anymore, so I didn’t know if I was going to remember/be bothered to watch it, but thankfully my hubby came home and switched on the telly, because we both really enjoyed it (the Bond theme special that followed it was fun as well). :)

I’m not a big Bond fan but that does actually sound like it could be interesting.

VERY decent documentary. Even a couple of things a Bond fan like me didn’t know.

They made no bones about the horrible ways the songs are sometimes chosen (David Arnold built his score for Tomorrow Never Dies on a song he wrote, expecting that to be the main title track. Then they chose Sheryl Crowe’s instead and dumped his over the end credits with a new name. That story wasn’t news, but there are loads like it, and they dipped into most of ’em.

How Madonna’s godawful racket placed so high, though – that I can’t explain.

I’m not really, either, but it did get into a lot of interesting stuff about the creative process behind the various themes, the different artists who had written/performed rejected themes, and other related trivia. And it was nice to be reminded of some great old songs as well.

  • Now, 6:20pm isn’t a bad slot. But WHY START IT AFTER 8pm IF YOU’RE GOING TO SHUNT IT BACK FROM THEN ON?! As a result, I’m missed the first half, and it’s not even repeated on More4, let alone C4…

  • This is repeated on More4 in double-bills this Thursday from 9:00pm-11:05pm, and next Thursday at the same time.
