It’s a smegging garbage pod!

Was watching that series 1 episode “Waiting for God” the other day. You know that bit where Rimmer is studying the pod and he has all those diagrams pasted up on the wall of the Quarantine Chamber? One of them has “Copernican Revolution” at the top and pictures of orbits. I was looking at them and thinking “I’m sure I’ve seen those somewhere.”

Was on hols the last two weeks and had a chance to go through all the books I’ve currently got stored at mother’s and smeg me if I wasn’t right. They’re pages from the Mitchell Beazley New Concise Atlas of the Universe, by Patrick Moore, one of my first serious astronomy books. Dates from the late 70’s to early 80’s. How about that.

The outline drawing of the pod on the wall was easier to track down. Mike said he drew it, though he has no idea where it is now, alas.

As an aside, have fun at DJ you bunch of rectum faced pygmies. Would be attending myself but my girlfriend is jumping out of an aeroplane that weekend. When you see Mike, tell him that he’s going to be a monkey. A monkey monkey monkey. He’ll like that.
