Spaced gets the Warner US treatment!

“We all know the standard practice of American production companies buying up the rights to small, charming, witty British TV series and turning them into brash, dumbed-down, slap-stick fart joke shells of what they once were. They did it to ‘The Office’, they did it to ‘Red Dwarf'”

Yes, that’s exactly what happened. Absolutely.

“Support artists, not the industry.”

Because nobody paid Pegg or Gervais, apparently. Man, you could spend a happy day just tearing that whole article apart.

G4TV – for all the news you want. So long as you want it late and wrong.

I’m sure I mentioned this in another thread, but no doubt it makes sense to create a thread specific to the subject.

Apperently Simon Pegg is being paid though. He revised his article to state this, although the points he makes concerning how it was dealt with still stand.

Oh right just noted the sarcasm… anyway, peggster link still worth following.
