Finally started on a project that i’ve been talking to some of you about for quite a while, Which, essentially, is a wiki intended to catalogue all the RD merchandise and memorabilia that’s out there, not just currently available stuff but everything that’s been released over the years – starting with all the official UK stuff. out-of-print books, DVD’s that are no longer available, T-shirts that probably havent got any print left on them – absosmegginglutely everything… Eventually i’d like to expand this to all the merch released worldwide, props that have been released to the wild, that kind of thing. My original plan was to call this Smegipedia following the wiki naming convention, But the point has been raised (Cheers Danny) that Smegopedia is how people would assume it’s spelt – given the spelling of Encyclopedia… So, my retarded question is this; Would anybody like any toast? /slap What do you all think? which name would be more of preference; smegIpedia or smegOpedia ? – Perhaps something else entirely? or is this just shit idea and it’s time i went home? January 23, 2012 at 4:02 pm #114471 Ian SymesKeymaster There did used to be a fansite called Crapola Inc, though. January 23, 2012 at 11:27 pm #114477 Tarka DalParticipant There used to be so many great fansites. Red Dwarf World. Smegweb. Crapola Inc. Groovetown. Then along came G&T and killed them all. Bastards. January 24, 2012 at 1:01 am #114482 pfmParticipant Another shoe-in for ‘Recommendations’ there. :D January 24, 2012 at 3:12 am #114484 Ben PaddonParticipant Goitipedia January 24, 2012 at 10:51 am #114488 Danny StephensonKeymaster I’m heavily in favour of Ori’s suggestion of ‘Smegrabilia’ it sounds right, it describes the wiki perfectly. January 24, 2012 at 11:01 am #114490 Ian SymesKeymaster They were already dead when we came along. I was filling a smeggy void. January 24, 2012 at 1:26 pm #114492 Tarka DalParticipant You’re a smeggy void. Didn’t you use to help out with Groovetown? January 24, 2012 at 4:02 pm #114502 AlexParticipant I was filling a smeggy void. Now there’s a euphemism. No, that was the other long-haired cunt who lives in my house – Cappsy ran the forums for a while, for some reason. January 25, 2012 at 9:20 am #114158 Jonathan CappsKeymaster Sometimes there were upwards of two posts a day. January 25, 2012 at 7:33 pm #114550 ori-STUDFARMParticipant >Sometimes there were upwards of two posts a day. I know exactly how it feels to run a site like that. Jake does too… January 27, 2012 at 4:24 pm #114580 KarnieParticipant Well, I have a TON of crap, Jezzmund, I’ll catalog everything I have and send you a list in case you need any info/photo references for the whateverthehellyouregoingtoeventuallycallitwikia. =) January 27, 2012 at 8:20 pm #114586 ori-STUDFARMParticipant >whateverthehellyouregoingtoeventuallycallitwikia Now that just rolls off the tongue.
