Facebook has kindly reminded me that it was 10 years ago yesterday that I left work, and drove in my Ka from Newport to London JUST to meet the Red Dwarf cast in Berkeley Square ahead of the Back to Earth premiere.

I remember Carbug, I remember lovely ladies with Dave bags & USB sticks and meeting some handsome fuckers from G&T faffing with their laptops perhaps hoping the lovely ladies were handing out USB sticks of home made porn rather than…. actually – what was on it again? Some BTE promo pics?

Anyway, I loved that stunt. To see and meet the cast in costume was such a treat. Great day.

The USB sticks contained the opening five minutes or so of Part One. There was much debate about whether to watch it now or wait another day.

Bloody hell I completely forgot. I still have one…. somewhere? Still kudos to UKTV for their marketing efforts – always felt like it’s a show they actually like.

The usb sticks contains some promo pics, a folder of character voice ring tones, and one video clip.
It was the bunk room scene with all four debating what to do with the squid in the water tank. fritter the critter etc. That was my laptop we watched it on. We didnt need porn, as the dave girls were there wearing tight tops, the kind that 10 years later Formula one isnt allowed to use probably, let alone car bug enthusiasts.

Did anyone ever tell him that Red Dwarf is a pussy hole?
