While peeking at play.com I came upon this – http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/11630668/Red-Dwarf-Just-The-Shows-Vol-1-2-Box-Set/Product.html With ‘All the Shows’ out I don’t really see the point in this except to get a new set in the shops for the christmas market. It is worthy to note that it is cheaper than ‘All the Shows’ though. September 12, 2009 at 5:29 pm #103195 JamesTCParticipant Oh, I just thought since they had both releases sold out that they had, well, sold out their old stock! September 12, 2009 at 5:34 pm #103196 Seb PatrickKeymaster >Couldn?t this just be Play.com putting their old stock together to sell it off? Wouldn’t it be already available, in that case, rather than due for release in November? I mean, I don’t want to question the man with insider information, but the presentation of and information on that page very much looks like that of a new release ;-) September 12, 2009 at 5:48 pm #103197 JamesTCParticipant A month before the Play release. September 12, 2009 at 6:22 pm #103198 hummingbirdParticipant > Brand new Red Dwarf… PLEASE don’t do that again. Or I may have to kill you. September 12, 2009 at 7:34 pm #103199 AndrewParticipant First I’m hearing. But since I’m not in the office these days, that’s not surprising! Could just be that 2e have given permission for the separate sets to be sold off together as a single unit for the first time, or that – with the anniversary now come and gone – we’re back to new copies of the JTS sets coming out. Could even be that the JTS sets were ‘frozen’ for the anniversary box set. (Just as the old series VHSs were held when the remastered VHSs came out.) Could even be the ‘Red Dwarf Episode Audio CDs’ of this year… Could be something else entirely. I imagine word will filter down. September 12, 2009 at 9:27 pm #103201 The PerformingMonkeyParticipant All they would have to do is put a new sticker on the front or something and at least one person who already owns both JTS volumes WOULD buy this. September 12, 2009 at 9:53 pm #103203 Seb PatrickKeymaster September 12, 2009 at 10:26 pm #103204 AndrewParticipant Isn’t it weird how the hair follows you around the room… September 13, 2009 at 12:35 am #103205 The PerformingMonkeyParticipant No human being would stack games like that. September 13, 2009 at 12:57 am #103206 Danny StephensonKeymaster No human being would stack games like that. September 18, 2009 at 10:57 am #103321 Seb PatrickKeymaster What’s that, Andrew? September 18, 2009 at 6:32 pm #103333 The PerformingMonkeyParticipant Fuckin’ well funny. September 19, 2009 at 2:56 am #103366 Ben PaddonParticipant We’ve all been Punk’d. September 19, 2009 at 10:36 am #103378 JamesTCParticipant If it goes down to ?15-?20 I may very well buy this, I say that price because I already have the Series sets and Bodysnatcher September 19, 2009 at 10:37 am #103379 CarlitoParticipant So why buy it? Surely this is for those who don’t own ‘everything Red Dwarf ever’ like a lot of peeps on here. September 19, 2009 at 10:43 am #103381 JamesTCParticipant Because I live in two different places, A set of Dwarf in one house and a set of Dwarf in the other will be good. September 19, 2009 at 10:45 am #103382 JamesTCParticipant Plus it gives me an excuse to watch every single episode on the run again. September 19, 2009 at 12:42 pm #103384 hummingbirdParticipant You need an excuse? September 25, 2009 at 10:45 pm #103690 JamesTCParticipant I’m curious, does anybody know if the extras space on the discs with the lack of menus and commentaries does it mean the episodes are encoded with a higher bitrate? September 25, 2009 at 11:11 pm #103691 Kris ‘Drivaaar’ CarterParticipant As far as I’m aware, the eps are exactly the same as the regular disc versions. The extra space wasn’t even used for porn, which is quite tragic really.
