Look what I found. It’s a Red Dwarf wiki called, wait for it, “Tongue Tied”. And it’s rubbish. For some reason all of the Red Dwarf episode articles are prefixed with “RD:”.

Also, everything else that’s wrong with what they’re doing.

I did notice some of there information is based more on conjecture than actual fact. And they left out C. P Grogan in the Kochanski article. (I edited that and added a bit myself, although not much.)

Okay, but why is it our responsibility to create a Wiki for you? Why not do it yourself? We’re always banging on about how we don’t want to be the ONLY fansite. We want to be the BEST, but we’d rather be the best of hundreds than the best of “us and Total Red Dwarf”.

I’m not saying it’s your responsibility, only that it makes sense. I don’t have the necessary know-all to set up a wiki from the ground up, including templates and so forth. I suppose, yeah, we could “hijack” either Tongue Tied or Starbug (and I’d personally say that going for Tongue Tied makes sense from a purely URL-based perspective).

Guys, get a sense of perspective. G&T is well respected not just because of the immense knowledge of RD to be found here, but also becaue of the perspective of its users- which first and foremost seperates it from the official site forum.

The idea of a whole lot of seperate groups across the internet pooling their knowledge of RD in seperate wikis just to prove something to… Well help me out there? If anyone wants to look up a wiki article on RD you know very well that they will be heading to another website for that data. OK, there maybe users there that don’t appreciate the level of potential there is for RD related articles, but its a lot more constructive than setting up your own site 300,000,000 years into cyberspace.
