Hey look, there’s me making my (much better) Berkeley Square video at 2:02!

This was all going so well until the interview with Robert, where some TWAT made a reference to the special effects on the older series being “a joke”. Fuck off. Name one special effects shot from Series I-VI that’s a “joke”, and I’ll name you twenty that are utterly perfect.

Like i said on another forum ‘Rubbish special effects’ and ‘wobbly sets’ are typical sound bites for the lazy journalist who doesn’t have a clue about the subject they’re supposed to be talking about. What can i say :) And i agree, Red Dwarfs special effects were bloody fantastic for the time.

Well since they have said it for Doctor Who so many times they just apply it to every other Sci Fi show. I wonder why people care about the special effects or “wobbly sets”, if the script is good that is enough, only a fucking idiot would care about effects over a good script which sadly many people do today…

I’ve always found the wobbly sets and low-tech effects to be part of the charm of early Who, etc.

You just can’t enjoy a Dalek story without seeing one wobble.
