Have you watched another show ever and noticed an episode title that’s the same as Red Dwarf has?

Also as an example can anyone beat the SyFy Series Twelve Monkeys? That has episodes called Meltdown, The End, The Beginning, & Ouroborous. Very nearly manages one called Cassandra as well but messes it up by adding the word Complex on the end.

The best I can do is Smallville which has only three titles in common with RD – Blue, Legion and Justice.

Torchwood has an episode with the title Out of Time.

I’m going to guess that Out of Time is probably the most shared Red Dwarf episode title. A quick check of a few series I’ve watched says season 1 of The Flash has an episode with that title.

Is it cheating to look up the deletion discussion for TVTropes’ old Stock Episode Title page? It gives a few examples of episodes called Meltdown:

Several other shows besides JAG have episodes titled “Meltdown,” such as Batman Beyond, CSI: Miami, Farscape, The Pretender (recap) and Red Dwarf, to name just five.

Some other TV shows with episodes called “The End”:

    – The X Files

    – ReGenesis

    – Blue Bloods

    – Grace and Frankie*

    – Noein: To Your Other Self

    – The Stand*

    – A Series of Unfortunate Events

    – 12 Monkeys

(* It was also the first episode.)

Some other TV shows with episodes called “Future Echoes”:

Big Finish have Doctor Who stories and boxes called The Last Day, Out of Time, Back to Earth, The Beginning and probably a few others.

A 1994 Sonic the Comic story was titled Back to Reality. It’s not TV, but it’s an actual Red Dwarf reference (or influence anyway) by the same writer as the Smegazine’s Duane Dibbley stories.
